Unfortunately, Sony doesn't ship HDMI cables with PS3s. Sorta sucks, but it's not a deal breaker.
As for what HDMI cable to buy: Get the cheapest one possible. There is absolutely no difference in quality between a $90 Monster brand HDMI cable and a $3 no-name cable manufactured in the back alley of some Chinese electronics shop.
HDMI carries a digital signal. It is either on, or it is off. There's no such thing as signal loss on HDMI as there could possibly be on an analog cable such as composite or component. If the cable works, it is working at 100% and you are getting the best picture possible over HDMI. The only bad thing that could happen with an HDMI cable would be if it didn't work. You will not get a degraded signal over HDMI, the signal will simply not show up at all.
Don't let anybody tell you anything otherwise, because they are either lying or delusional (or both!) that a $90 HDMI cable puts out a better signal than a $3 one. All this stuff about oxygen-free cable, xenon wrapping, "pure" copper, gold connectors...none of that matters on HDMI. You will get the same exact picture on your set no matter what HDMI cable you use.
