Not sure why you'd aim to ship 4 million, but only ship 3.6 million. I'm pretty sure the 3.6 million figure is for consoles sold. Missing shipment targets wouldn't have anything to do with the consoles sales. Not at launch anyway.

I think bad launch titles is the reason for the 3DS not selling as well as they expected. The only good game currently out for the 3DS is Super Street fighter IV.

When the good games come out (like zelda, resident evil, mario kart 3ds) then you will see a 3ds sales increasing.

Rubbish. Much prefered Pilotwings and Ridge Racer 3D myself. That and Ghost Recon has had nothing but praise from pretty much everybody who has bought it.

Do you value fortune over entertainment? Game & Watch may fetch some pretty cash in a few years. It will definately be more valuable that Spirit Tracks, which you can pick up quite cheaply these days.

The DS launched at a time when the casual gaming market was still being cracked. It's only real competitor at the time was the PSP, which it got a jump start on. The 3DS launches against the still successful DS, the iPhone, the countless Android and Windows gaming phones, the PSP and soon the NGP. There is now also a massive gaming market through many social networks. So the games industry has grown considerably in the last 5 or 6 years, but so too has the competition. I don't think anybody is expecting the 3DS to sell quite as well as the DS. Not even Nintendo.

I've yet to have any kind of system crash, having played 30 hours of Pilotwings and 8 hours on Ridge Racer. I know that Ghost Recon is prone to crashing if you have the Wifi switched on. Turning it off seems to fix the problem apparently. As for crashes on other games, I have no clue, sadly.

I'd rather 32 tracks than 16. Some of the old tracks are brilliant.

Well spotted Anime guy! Still it could only be for test purposes. We'll have to wait and see.

I doubt its a storage issue. Especially when you consider the size of Ridge Racer and other upcoming 3DS games. I'd say the game was developed to meet the console launch and so sacrifces were made to speed up development.. That or the engine wasn't fine tuned enough to implement such a feature. Or perhaps they didn't feel they could make a visually attractive game with the technical demans of a more dynamic background. Something like that...

It might be going into sleep mode to preserve what little power it has left. Would be quite useful if it died midway through a game because you've got a chance to plug in the charger and save it, if you hadn't done so already!

I don't see peoples problem with the warnings in Pilotwings. It's not like you're being forced into a break. Besides, it gives you a moment to consider doing something else for 5 minutes, like making a cup of tea or acknowledging somebody else in the room. I'm a big fan of the activity log too! I like seeing how i've spent my time. Would be awesome if such a device existed to record all of your daily activities.
