@klaats: that's true coop will be added in fall. but yeah... fall is a half year after release. it's normal for most devs nowadays to release unfinished games, because why would you if you can add unlimited content later? it's sad though that ND jumped on that train too. Coop should be in an uncharted game from the start. They already have great mp maps, i assume it wouldn't be to hard to add an arena mode for those maps. AI-controlled enemies are already implemented as well (only in the trials though). If they wanna take their time with the coop story, that's fine, but enemy waves on those great maps shouldn't take too much time, right?

@consolehaven: now that you say it i totally miss those vertical shootouts from uncharted 3. althrough i still think the leveldesign of the enemy encounters is a step forward from uncharted 3.

@jazzycmk: really? it was hard no doubt, but for me it felt easier than uncharted 3 crushing mode, which was just total frustration where you had parts where you had to run or ride and it was a question of pure luck wether enough bullets would hit you or not. i think the level design in u4 definitely helps in crushing mode. lots of places to hide and even though enemies are much sharper (easily spot you in tall grass if you're close enough) it is possible to re-enter stealth by running away and hiding.

btw. the enemies are a lot less motivated than their last of us counterparts. while both claim to "go look" when they think they saw you, only the last of us enemies actually do so. uncharted enemies stay on their spot just looking in that direction before deciding that it was probably nothing. or has anyone ever actually encountered an enemy that was going out of his way to check your hiding spot, like they did in the last of us?

@megantereon: i thought especially the enemy encounters were pretty creative with those great level-designs. tons of stuff to do: climbing, sliding, ropes, tall grass. if only there were a few more enemies.

reminds me of child of light, albeit a sluttier version (1st row of screenshots). is the combat comparable?

big fan of andrew garfield as spiderman. i liked that whole skater angle instead of being a whiny loser, although back in the day i did like toby maguire's spiderman too. the thing that really bothered me about the toby maguires' movies though was the fact that those "well-known" actors always had to display their faces, like there was a contract about how much you would see their faces or something, which in turn meant that ALWAYS and in EVERY SINGLE MOVIE toby's mask got torn apart so we can all see this lovely actor's face. uncanny how that always happened and how that never happens to the comic spiderman. It made the movies look a lot more stupid than they had to be. the most ridiculous was venom though ("look i got a button and 'swoosh' the mask is off, and 'swoosh' it's on again, 'swoosh', 'swoosh', 'swoosh', wait why am i even wearing that mask?!?!" Audience: "we don't know bro, we don't know"). it was hilariously stupid.

Valiant Hearts: the great War told me a lot about the 1st worldwar i didn't know. growing up in Germany the 1st WW is kinda on the sidelines in historyclass, because historyclass in Germany is kinda 10-13 years of learning about WW2. You know that the 1st WW happened, you know when it happened, you know that Germany got all the blame for it, but that's about it. Honestly before playing Valiant Hearts i didn't even know what the cause for WW1 was.

@p1p3dream: chapter select after beating the game? yes, definitely. rewind-feature? nah, maybe if there is a "filthy casual"-difficulty ;) then it's ok. Until Dawn's 1st playthrough was amazing. Lots of suspense, lots of fun. Subsequent playthroughs were kinda boring though, the decisions kinda "only" determine who lives and who dies and do not change the story which was kinda disappointing. And playing through with the goal to kill everyone was not as enjoyable as i had hoped, because the game really thrives on making the right decisions. there's no motivation to make wrong decisions (at least for me there wasn't and i lost interest really quickly).

this is the game that brought me to online gaming. thx re5, i love and hate you for it. i have spent an incredible amount of hours playing this, most of it in mercs and mercs reunion (not "united" btw). ah, i miss my studying days... except for the money :) solo score of 819k with Barry in Prison (booyah!). well i will definitely get this and see if i still got it. it also had the best inventory system of all resident evil games. small and challenging which made it simply perfect. The shooting was really good too, enemies react to almost all bullets, depending on where you hit them (which you can use to setup different melee attacks), i hate games where you pump bullets into enemies without them ever flinching.

damn i'm even more psyched now after writing and remembering all this.
