It goes without saying that you have to learn his moves. He telegraphes them all you just have to know what is what. E.g. the self-immolation is very easy to dodge, but only if you know what's going on. Otherwise you are toast ;)

@adrianosc:

even easier Ancient Dragon: stay between his rear legs (under him) and start hitting one. 80% of the time he will stomp with the attacked leg in which case you just switch to the other one. every once in a while he will self-immolate which means you need to get out from under him. This is a good time to buff your sword again. Of course there's always a chance he will fly up in which case i simply run towards his tail so i don't get hit. Although he can turn around a bit while airborne he can't do 360s at will so this is a pretty safe strategy. More so if you are playing the scholar of the 1st sin version because the fire no longer 1-shots you.

oh yeah! While i consider the sentinels 1 of the easier bosses now, i remember it took me 3-4 hours to beat them the 1st time. i partly blame my lousy equipment at that time but most of all you gotta learn their moveset. What can a boss do and what can't he do and what will he probably do if i do this and that (some bloodborne bosses react to you healing and a lot of them react to you having low health, in which case they might just chain a 6th or 7th hit to their combo that you have never seen before and kill you with it).

If he couldn't be cheesed with poison knifes i think the abhorrent beast would probably be my number 1. freakishly relentless, there's almost no opportunity to get in a hit without getting hit yourself, and amazing tracking-abilities (take that circle-strafer!).

The Prize for the most annoying boss would go to the bloodstarved beast, especially in the depths 5 dungeons. He's not hard to beat, he just soooo dodgy. He's all over the place but seldom at the end of your weapon. Plus he has a 1-shot which is sometimes hard to notice. At least once per fight i have to yell: could you f-ing please stay in 1 place for a sec?

@RSM-HQ: I found out by accident if you let 1 of them grab and curse you (when his sword turns blue) the animation takes so long the other dude gets bored because he can't hit you and disappears. just finish off the one that grabbed you, pick up his stuff, chill at bonfire come back and finish the lazy guy with the short attention span. Of course it's not as "honourable" as really fighting them 1 on 2.

a few minor things that i would really like to see in ds3:

- no more soul mem (this is already confirmed, invasions and coop will be based on soul level), so you can make 120-builds again, instead of boring level 500 all-casters.

- save/load created characters/faces in the char creation (as you can do in bloodborne), i put a lot of time into creating my characters, and sometimes i delete a character because i think i can make a better version of him/her by leveling up differently. and this would just be sooo convenient.

- invasions are bound to previous requirements: you have to be alive (not hollow) and you have to have a boss to beat, ONLY THEN can you get invaded. Dark souls 2 messed with this formula and i didn't like it. I do like PVP, but sometimes i wanna explore the level and try out different stuff, and it's just so tedious to get invaded every 5 minutes, especially in worlds like the shrine of amana. you should have the options to just kill yourself to be free from invaders (and coop) and no one should disturb you while exploring previous areas after beating the respective bosses. red summon signs should be able to be placed anywhere anytime, i'm totally fine with that. PVP-areas are a staple anyways ever since artorias, ds2 had them in form of the 2 covenants, so there will be no shortage of pvp for people. And OP-invaders that get a kick out of crushing low-level characters that just started the game can still do it when they put in a little effort (beat game on start SL and get a good weapon and invade the 1st areas). I don't mind them since like in ds1 you will probably only encounter them around the 1st or 2nd boss. Just let them kill you once to make them feel happy (or better PARRY AND DESTROY THEM!) and continue on your journey (in ds1 you had a certain amount of time after an invasion before you could get invaded again).

@kaguyaotsutsuki: that would be too frustrating in a game where anything can kill you (especially things like lock-on and gravity). Evil Within's Akumu is a nice idea, but not what you are looking for, since you can still save and you don't start over from the beginning, you simply die from 1 hit. What you want is play Dead Space 3 on hardcore, which resets the game to the start whenever you die. It's not particularly hard though imo, since it's not a hard game. In Dead Space 2 you had a hardcore mode in which you could save a total of 3 times which i found way harder and more exciting (maybe because the game was so amazing compared to ds3 which was meh).

Another tough challenge would be completing an old resident evil game without saving which unlocks certain rewards (like the rpg in code veronica). You die, you start over.

ownage is imminent... but what do you do at the beginning of the story when you get your 1st pretty mediocre deck? I suppose you'll "die" a lot.

@Sepewrath: There was never anything new about uncharted in the 1st place. It's a third person shooter with no especially inventive or innovative functions. What makes it stand out is its superior quality compared to other shooters, an amazing setting that lets you explore places from all over the world, sweet graphics and solid gunplay. The "new" grappling hook is really old too. god of war 2 had it for example and i'm sure a lot of other games too. Even the surfaces you can cling to with the hook look exactly like the ones from gow2. It's still gonna be a great game, no doubt.

@skrilla99: I hope they're not gonna make one. It will suck and never be able to compare to the 1st one and in turn drag the last of us down.

@techs3ek: I agree. It's time for sth new! I'm excited for U4 but it would be very sad to have a regular uncharted release because eventually there would be a bad one and that would drag down the whole series. Making another Last of Us is not a good idea either in my opinion. The story was amazing and it is finished, anything new could never compare to it. The game had everything. Make a similar game, i liked the scrounging, crafting and more stealth-oriented approach but a sequel would hurt the 1st one, so give it a new name. Learn from resident evil. The series does not have a good name among gamers these days even though they made some of the most amazing games of all time (and some shitty ones). As a Stand-Alone game with no sequel Last of Us will be a legend for eternity.

Naughty Dog has a good name i personally associate with both quality and creativity (and shitty matchmaking and microtransaction cash-grabbing ;) sorry but it's true, no one is perfect). I'm sure whatever they are going to come up with will be a quality-piece.
