i hope i see his point too when the game comes out. i'm really excited!

i don't quite get why this particular feature is so important to him. quite frankly there are a hundred more important things in a videogame than short/no loading screens (gameplay, character design, level design, etc., which i'm sure they nailed). it's cool though, no doubt. and i was very happy back when Bloodborne somehow severely reduced the loading times with a patch (how do you even do that?)..

uh, i hate gaming on a phone. pvz is a fun game, but when are you even gonna play if you don't have to use busses or trains? i mean it would have to be a really fantastic game if you're sitting on your couch with your phone instead of turning on your console/pc and big screen.

...and that whole article could've been written without mentioning the Last of Us at all.

Kratos has a companion, thusly there will be dialogue, thusly Kratos' character will be more fleshed out and we will see different sides of him. (there, see?)

i don't think comparing games, because of one simple link, is going to help the game in any way. i think it's actually hurting it.

almost everything in the last of us was done very well, but it is NOT the standard for all videogames that came/come after it. gamers don't want every game to be the same. we need variety.

well it has blood in it, which makes me happy. in the earlier demos enemies would have that weird orange goo instead of blood.

@frosty988: releasing a skin dlc is not exactly microtransactions. if there were like 30 skins that you could buy from an in-game menu with currency acquired in the game or alternatively with real money, that would be closer to it. in any case, nobody cares about microtransactions for cosmetic items anyway (or microtransaction in a SP game in general). if it impacts the actual gameplay and gives players advantages over other players, that's where it gets critical.

@dunkstar1: i also rather expect the son to die than Kratos.

@Dragerdeifrit: i don't hope so, but i don't expect it either. i think he's mainly there to make Kratos more human. and having two main characters helps tremendously with telling a story (yay dialogues!) as opposed to just having one guy who's conversing with a God every once in a while.

@Xristophoros:

i agree, if games would keep the graphics from nowadays forever i would be totally fine with it. there's also the possibility of "too much", as some people, me included, already have the feeling that high definition movies on blu-rays look more like documentaries than movies, because the sharpness of the picture. the cinematic feel is gone and this makes it, in fact, less desirable to watch.

the only thing i could think of right now as a graphical improvement for videogames is the plant-life. there are still a lot of games that use two 2-dimensional parts to create bushes or grass (the Witcher Wild Hunt or Bloodborne, to name 2 games i really like), which looks good enough from afar, but silly up close.
