And they're emailing additional beta codes. I just received 4 in an email to give out to friends. I don't even have friends interested in this game. I was until I spent 15 minutes in it.
@CallMeDuraSouka I've heard other people express this same complaint, but I have yet to experience it. Never had a problem with spawn points. I was actually very impressed because it has been in an issue in past games, although not nearly as bad as in BF4.
@lws3547 Cheers to you, my friend. I'm 42 and one thing I notice as I age is that there are still things I "want" to enjoy but really don't anymore. Admitting that to myself feels like I'm admitting that I'm getting older and I struggle with letting go of my youth. I do still enjoy gaming, though, and I hope I continue to for many years to come.
Couple of issues I have with Titanfall; the server is constantly kicking me out when in the middle of adjusting a loadout or spending more than 5 minutes without jumping into a match. It's very frustrating. The other thing is that I feel like the bots do hurt the game. Given the map sizes, they're meant to "fill in" the void, but it would have been better to allow more players in a match rather than having the bots. It diminishes the challenge. I can score at the top of a match without killing more than 1 or 2 pilots and a titan or two, simply by focusing on the easy bot kills and oftentimes, capturing and holding flags briefly. Titans come fast and easy for everyone, and I get that the game is "Titanfall", but there's a balance issue there. Finally, I want options that I'm used to having in games like Halo, CoD, and Battlefield...ability to view other profiles and badges, scorecards, etc. Why even have emblems when no one else can see them? I played quite a bit when the game first came out, but like many others, it got old quickly. Yet, I can play these other fps shooters for weeks and months on end without getting tired of them. I do commend the effort to create a new product and they have some solid ideas and things about the game I really enjoy (wallhanging, jetpacks, cloaking), but overall, the total experience isn't enough to keep me hooked.
I think it looks pretty good, and this is coming from an Xbox fan. It got my attention, but hard to say if it turns out to be as user friendly as they want it to be, or if it'll be confusing and contain a bunch of crap you don't need or use. I wish both Sony and Microsoft would allow for more customizations but they are taking the first steps in that direction.
@Nexrad @WantYouBad Very true. And, it's not a bad price if you do buy it. I bought the season pass for CoD: BO2 for $50 and it kept me playing almost an entire year. I'd say I got my money's worth.
