Yep, looks good although I would hold off a couple of days to see how the new 3850s from ATI perform, if the price difference is great enough it may be better to get one of those.
Yep, thats a problem with the 8400GS. Dual-core (or tri, or quad, or octo) has a lot of benefits and it is very much the future along with 64-bit (even if it is the half-baked kind) but they need to be explicitly coded for and if your other components aren't keeping up then it won't do you a ton of good.
Not gonna get AAA here with those low AAAs elsewhere...Jandurin
I'm not sure, but I don't even really know how Gamespot rates things anymore. Too hard? Down or no effect. Too easy? Down or no effect. Lots of variety? Down, up, or no effect. Repetitive? Down, up, or no effect. No multiplayer? Down. Short? Down or no effect. Long? Down or Up.
Frankly its hard to read them, although Gamespot hasn't as of yet done anything as atrocious as some of the 1up scores.
And will still be waiting awhile to really max it. I've spent a fair bit of time trying to help people out in the PC Hardware forum, but lets try to be honest about things. Now if you want to argue on the basis that PC gaming can be affordable and has more games than all the other systems combined, there I'll agree with you.
