Well the Switch has got a long way to go to catch the PS4, but fingers crossed they do it, Sony has had an ever increasing lead for too long, they need someone to push them or they will get lazy like they did with the start of the PS3, And Microsoft needs to get into the race, by releasing exclusives across lots of genres, not just shooters and driving games.
Makes me proud to live here, and it would have sold alot more, but the demand must have caught the publisher off guard because its sold out in most areas, even Amazon only has scalpers selling it at the moment, going up from £44 to £70.
Hmm, wonder what else they will do with P5, will we get a P5gold edition with a slightly edited story, Or a P5P edition for the Nintendo switch with the option to choose a male or female alt at the start of the game, which would sell better on the Japanese market due to handhelds having a far larger share of the gaming market than home consoles.
@uubershikamarux: Sold out everywhere near me, got mine from Argos for £44, they had 15 copies at my local one and they were all gone by the time I got there to pick mine up, which was luckily reserved, Both local Game stores were sold out, guess its because of the higher population in my local area in the SE.
Shipped 1.5 million, shame they underestimated the demand, sold out everywhere here in the UK, scalpers increasing the price on Amazon, because Amazon didn't have enough, over a month wait for the PS3 edition, not something you would believe happening to a JRPG.
@dudebropartyyo: EA likely forced the release date, so it would be out before the new financial year, its possible given another month or two Bioware would have fixed the problems, and the game would have got a better reception.
Hmm, perhaps EA should takes lesson from these guys, don't rush a game to market until its ready, can't see it being ready till 2019, but if its as good as Witcher 3, it will be worth the wait.
What Bioware say they want to do and what EA let them do are two totally different things, If EA thinks it will shift alot more copies they will let them spend extra time fixing the game, if not, They will push them into creating DLC asap, most of it Multiplayer because thats where they can make easy money, with cheap maps and skins.
