With todays Next-Gen now being this gen its a standard that a AAA game have no defects.Todays sound standard for good sounding game effects and good sounding game ambiance and good sounding game music is Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. The same as todays movies are also in Dolby Digital 5.1. for good sound as the standard.
A quality game has good controls, good gameplay, good graphics and last but not least is has good audio. An experience like this is available both on the 360 and the PS3.The problem is that once you get used to the standard Dolby Digital sound in a AAA game you then notice its LACK as a glaring defect.
The problem for the Wii is that even if the software developers do the best job thats humanly possible on that console its still going to fall short versus the experience on the 360 and the PS3.The problem is Wii hardware based as it can only output Pro-Logic sound and this is a step DOWN from todays standard.
Listen to the effects and sound ambiance of a 360 game like Bioshock or a PS3 game like Resistance in Dolby Digital 5.1 and then go play a Wii game and the changeover is a letdown the same as listening to your favorite action movie in Dolby Digital 5.1 and then being told to listen to that movie in Pro-Logic.
Thats why NO WII games deserve AAA or ten status since the sound output is LESS quality that what is standard nowdays on home consoles.
The best that a Wii game can hope for is AA or nine status since the Wii substandard audio is a distraction that reduces the enjoyment to be obtained when a comparison is done with other offerings from the 360 or PS3.
