Spec Ops completed!

After some difficulty, I finally completed the last two Echo missions on Spec Ops - Armour Piercing and Wetwork. Armour Piercing was quite hard but nothing compared to other missions like Homeland Securty. Wetwork however was rather easy, that is if you are patient enough to withstand around ten minutes of cover. Overall Spec Ops was a joy to play - it was a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience. I'm also now Level 64 on Modern Warfare 2, that is, thanks to some handy Riot Shield boosting with my Brother.

Demo's galore

I hope this is only temporary packshot. Really, the franchise deserves better.

---

I'm most probably going to buy Battlefield 1943 but I first need to buy the free Trial and then upgrade it with the full game.

---

It's here where the Holiday's start! But it's also the beginning of the end; snow here is reaching a few dozen inches.

--

I'm now up to the mission "Of Their Own Accord" on Modern Warfare 2's Single Player. And by using Gamespot's handy Intel Guide I was able to brush up on any Intels I'm missing from any other the missions I've already done like Cliffhanger and Exodus.

The Army of Two: 40th Day Demo was alright. The level design was boring though, following a more simple route (no thanks to the best navigation device ever seen in a game). Functionally, the shooting's not bad, although it's not very exciting either. There's also a cover system which seems a bit sticky, but for the most part it works fine. Sound effects are good if not perfectly excuted and the visuals, while distinct and varied, do seem a bit dated, especially when you look at Gears 2 or Uncharted 2. The Demo's fairly good but bear in mind that the Demo is entirely co-op orientated, so only play if you have a local friend or if you have an online EA account.

The Gran turismo 5 Demo (or Time Trial) was awful. The gameplay, while different isn't justified by the several years of development. And the visuals... honestly? I've seen better, Shift's cockpit view is far more defined and Forza 3's overall visual design is simply far superior. If the real game turns out to be like this, I'll still be changing gears on Shift, but I know for sure that even if I don't get it, my Brother definitely will.

I'm a cheapskate

Snows falling heavily but inconsistently. All to hoping that school will be cancelled tomorrow.

Final Fantasy III - I've finished the East and West towers of King Sasune's Castle. No updates on Modern Warfare 2.

---

Battlefield 1943 is only £6.30 ($10) on the Playstation Store. Might buy it this weekend.

I downloaded the Army of Two: 40th Day Demo, I hope it's improved. I also downloaded the Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial but where's the fully fledged demo?

All extra credentials, consisting of DS Games are either bumped up in price or now sold out. So I won't be getting them anymore. I may just get the Zombie Survival Guide after Christmas and even at that, my parents won't be getting my Desktop until after Chistmas in case of a Boxing Day sale.

I'm (going to be) prepared. Are you?

My Brother got his refurbished Playstation 3 back today.

---

I'm finally starting to get into Final Fantasy III. A game I've had for a good few months now but never had the time to start. And I'm already level grinding!

---

Since I just rubbed the Vampire Diaries of my list, I included the Zombie Survival Guide on my list. It has everything you could possibly need to prepare you for a Zombie Apocalypse, and then some. The customer reviews on it are great too. There's also World War Z (reportage $tyle acount of a Zombie World War) but I may just get the Survival Guide just for now. You never know, maybe all that snow falling is coming to something. Yes, snows falling here.

I've just been finishing up Delta by completing WarDriving which was alot of fun. Moving onto Echo, I just completed High Explosives which was incredibly hard, a mission where by you had to kill ten Juggernauts in a little Favela area. I got it done with much difficulty and found a nice camping spot which was just right for the job. I now have 63 stars, with just six more stars to go. I'm also now Level 60 on Modern Warfare 2 online with a Kill to Death Ratio of 1.73.

Echo, we are en route to your position

My Brother should be getting his refurbished PS3 tomorrow.

---

Exams are done and dusted but I will have some assignments to do over the Christmas Holidays. I didn't do too bad but I also felt I didn't do remarkable by any means.

---

Completed some more Spec-Op missions today as I delved deeper in to Delta; I finished Estate Takedown, Terminal and Wreckage (which was extremely easy by the way) of which I added to my ever growing list of completed missions. I also completed another Delta mission called Acceptable Losses prior. It's really challenging stuff now, that is, apart from the disappointingly easy level Wreckage. Can't wait to move onto the Echo misions and kill some more Juggernauts. I'm now on 57 Stars. I've also advanced further into the story, by completing both, the Hornets Nest and Exodus on Veteran.

Charlie - They're delivering a Romeo, Papa 3!

YAY for avatar change. Speaking of which, the movie looks quite good. Might go and see it after my exams.

Problems have been mostly resolved, that is, after hours of bitter arguing. My Mother has now reclaimed a 2nd refurbished Playstation 3 which will most likely bite the dust as soon as the previous one had. The customer service man apparently said "That's very rare for that to happen twice." Little did he know that my Brother treats his Playstation 3 like a handbag.

---

I was playing a game of Spec-Ops. Specfically, Homeland Security on Charlie which has a Wave Defense objective implemented. Me, being me decided to take it on Veteran style, which took me over an hour to complete (and some snapped analogues.) Upon completion, I had finished all Alpha, Bravo and Charlie missions on three stars a piece. I then decided to take on Delta where I failed miserably. Before that however I did finish one Delta mission on three stars. All in all, I have 48 Stars, so not long to go until my 69 Stars, Gold Trophy. I'm still on the Hornets Nest on the single player, Veteran mind you. I just need the time to go through it.

Oh, the horror

Arguments have been settled, debates have been set aside and research has been calculated; I will be getting a new Desktop... for Christmas anyway. This one specifically.

I also submitted my other credentials to Santa compromising of half a dozen or so commodities. This included Advance Wars Dual Strike and Dark Conflict along with Dragon Quest: Chapters of the Chosen and Elite Beat Agents. I also asked for Twilight: Volumes One and Two (books - I know, a disgrace to the world of media.)

Today. At 10am(ish) GMT, my Brothers PS3 was confirmed (temporarily) dead. The Playstation itself is functional, but when I say "functional", I mean it can turn on. It also has the ability to play PSN Store media or import, export movies, or photos successfully but it can't play games. This was inevitable, my Brother, in his lazy nature always decided to take a shortcut route into turning on the PS3. Usually by the mains and it was only until today when the PS3 decided to pack it in (well, almost.)

So out of my kind nature I've decided to let him play on mine. This was of course, after hours of intrigue and plotting in wondering how to get him off the computer. But now I'm worried, the sole reason of buying a second PS3 was to get it off my addicted, deranged of a Brother. If he does get used to this "matt black" PS3, then who nows, maybe I'll be back to square one.

Devil May Cry 5

Apart from that I've been playing some more Modern Warfare 2. I'm Level 58.

I've got one week left of school with some end of term assessments. Nothing major though. Then I'll get down to writing some reviews.

I just downloaded the Bayonetta Demo off the Playstation Store and so far it's really good. Some awesome combat and epic set-pieces really set it alight. Although like most OTT Games, the action can sometimes be a tad off-putting and there are some akward, shallow button placements too. The main character in particular is overly exaggerated and the music like most Japanese games is way too retro for my liking. A definite play, but not a day one purchase for me.
