Day one purchases in 2018.

Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of Us 2 (unconfirmed), Far Cry 5, Monster Hunter World, Anthem and Bethesda Game Studios new game (probably Starfield) which like Fallout 4 will be announced at E3 this year and released in November.

Anything else I will have to wait and see.

@kaminobenimizu: You could read some sporting autobiographies about how much of their time they have dedicated to being the best at their profession. I have read both Greg Norman and Tiger Woods autobiographies on how they started their golfing careers, would you like to know how much time each day at an early age they dedicated to their hobby which in turn became their careers. They both became the longest number one golfers of all time by quiet a wide margin.

@kaminobenimizu: How about young adults putting time into a 'game' and then subsequently becoming good enough to win hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions in gaming tournaments? Is that an addiction? You may not know it and after reading you comment I'm pretty certain you don't know but a professional gamer is actually very much a thing. Sorry champ.

@lonesamurai1: There is nothing like it on any other platform because every other platform actually have finished games on them. You PC ladies really know how to get well and truly reamed, I'll give you that.

@attirex: is absolutely correct. All I see here is attirex basically telling you exactly how it is without sugar coating it and 3 or 4 nerds in complete denial getting all angry. To the salty nerds, Its ok to say you got scammed because then you can learn from it. I paid $40 dollars or whatever it was, it was that long ago I have forgotten, I was also scammed but I have accepted that and moved on.

175 million, that's a lot of suckers, me being one of them. I initially backed it but I'd say I have about as much interest in playing it as I have in playing Destiny 2. None. I also got sucked in by EQ Landmark when it was announced, **** that and **** PC games, especially early release garbage.

From a PS4 perspective.

Easy choice for GOTY. Wolfenstein II, best narrative in any game this year hands down. The challenge of beating the game on Mein Leben difficulty is insane and it's about time gamers started to experience something other than hand held girly mode. Wolf 2 was superb, it was refreshingly all about single player story gameplay and with 3 more quality story DLCs due, one of which is already available just makes the game even better.

Runner up is Assassins Creed Origins, its takes Assassins Creed, mixes it with a little Far Cry and a lot of The Witcher 3 (done properly, hopefully CD Projekt Red took some notice) and released a game that is nothing short of excellent.

Horizon Zero Dawn, not bad but I found it quite over rated. A story that I just couldn't get into nor care about but some nice gameplay against the robot creatures. Human NPCs had arguably worse AI than that other over rated game, The Witcher 3. Horrible. Also too repetitive for my liking. Its top 5 but that's about it.

Persona 5 haven't played yet, nor Zelda because Nintendo systems I thought were for children or has that suddenly changed? Also didn't play RE7, I own just haven't got around to playing it, likewise Nioh which I think I will enjoy.
