If S4 makes me feel the say that 4 currently does, especially due to stupid-ass things like input shortcuts, absolutely bananas balance issues, and so on, then I'm out. I'll be playing other good, competent games till this series is worthwhile.Super Street Fighter 4 is going to be good! Can't wait!

I know, but that thread is too big by now, plus it covers everything SFIV. This one is specifically about the upcoming re-release. If it's judged redundant, the mods will close it. Let's keep out comments constructive, please ;)[QUOTE="Black_Knight_00"][QUOTE="LikeHaterade"]
We already have a Super Street Fighter IV topic as someone said. And it's IN-DE-STRUCTABLE!

My comment addresses this topic, therefor constructive. ;)
Why is that thread too big? Because YOU deem it to be too big? The thread is just fine, and consists of more information on Super Street Fighter 4 than yours anyhow. If you'd like to hear my thoughts on Super Street Fighter 4, I will post them in the other topic.
Actually, the mods can close this based solely on the fact that there is already a similar topic in use. Doubling up on threads this way is against the ToS, smacks of attention-seeking, and could, conceivably, lead to more than just a locked thread. That being said, I'll be joining Haterade in the original IN-DE-STRUCTIBLE thread if anyone wants to hear my thoughts. *headbangs*
On my days off now, plus however many H1N1 decides to keep me out for. Might actually feel like playing this again sometime during the whole mess. Shen, have you been drinking...? >_>DarkCatalystA lot. lulz...

You mean in the SFIII:2I Plot Guide. Either way, who else have you heard about in Street Fighterthat took Ryu's ultimate move and still kept breathing after that. And of course Ryu beat him, its Ryu! Just goes to show that in the SFIII series, there are stronger fighters out there than just the World Warriors. In my opinion, the New Generation of Street Fighters would whoop the World Warriors' asses.

See what I mean? The originals are still the best.
Akuma cheats to win? Oh...you mean through the Raging Demon. Right. :PMmmm... kinda, yeah. Satsui no Hado is the intent to kill. It describes the limits to which a fighter will go in order to win, and for Akuma, there isn't a limit. He'll throw dirt in your face, insult your girlfriend, pull your hair... kill you. Doesn't matter. What most people call "cheating," Akuma calls trying.Akuma, FTC!
Even if Hugo did not receive that much damage from Ryu's Shin Shoryuken, Ryu still managed to beat him, according to the SFII Plot Guide.[QUOTE="Metamania"][QUOTE="Kreatzion"]
Hugo needs to be in SSFIV. Coolest grappler in any fighter period. Tizoc comes close but still. Who else can take a Shin Shoryuken from Ryu to the chest and continue the fight? Zangief can't even do this. Bring on the Hugo love Ono.

Sold. I am going to play the hell out of this game with my wife and daughters. Watching these videos makes me all giddy. SteelAttackLikewise. These vids just got me to call in and setup my long-needed Wii repair. This is gonna be good stuff.
[QUOTE="martialbullet"]Good thing all the characters are unlocked then. No one has any reason to play arcade mode anymore in Super 4, at all. Save some stupid achievements. Though I have to say, him being so obnoxious about it, and blatantly telling the very large number of people who gave negative feedback on a very obviously flawed boss character (this is not an arcade machine, you don't have to blatantly cheese us for extra quarters) to go to hell really showcases a rather flagrant disregard for quite a large number of gamers who had a proven and legitimate complaint. It's like saying "screw you, i don't want your money". Seth Killian can go to hell, for all I care.I'd love to see what they have planned for Seth in S4. Currently, Seth is stupid easy to beat.Hmm, so Seth Killian says "Seth will be even cheaper and more irritating."
Well good thing it's just limited to arcade mode.
Haven't been here in a while... I want my 360 back :(

[QUOTE="DarkCatalyst"]Blanka: Perhaps the biggest "problem character" on the roster.
2 - BlankaProdigy_basic
blanka? i have to admit that i haven't faced many blanka users online, but what is it about blanka that puts him #2 on your list? this is very surprising to me...
I was a little confused by this for a second, but I think I get it now. No need to speak on DC's behalf, but I'll take a stab at it.Simply put, every character I play as, save maybe Bison, has fits trying to beat Blanka. The stupid guy's just got irritating tools that many characters have to be smart to work around.
A few notes before I head off to work. Characters I would put over Akuma: Sagat: Duh, although he and Akuma are a dead even matchup. Balrog: Too safe, too fast. A real nuisance from any range. Rufus: The most suffocating character in the game. Will constantly challenge your reactions and make you pay. Blanka: Perhaps the biggest "problem character" on the roster. Characters I would NOT put over Akuma: Ryu: Has the stat advantage, plus Super => Ultra...Akuma's freedom of movement and standard combos are worth more. Zangief: Too many TERRIBLE matchups to be considered an elite character. Seth: Loses automatically once it becomes a war of attrition. Has to work too hard in general. Pathetic damage ratios. So I guess I'd rank them like this. 1 - Sagat 2 - Blanka 3 - Balrog 4 - Rufus 5 - Akuma 6 - Ryu 7 - Zangief 8 - SethDarkCatalystHmmm... I agree with this almost across the board. The only exception is that I'd switch Rog and Ryu. From my experience, it's like SFIV Ryu freakin' can't make a damn mistake. Everything he has is safe, and he is happy as a clam at any range. Rog, while still very strong, has more ways to mess up, and not quite as many ways to mix it up. What's more, just about any double-hitting normal or special move will beat every one of Rog's EX rush punches clean. With Akuma, this means a free 7-piece any time Rog gets desperate/greedy from mid or long range.
[QUOTE="ShenlongBo"]I think you might have misunderstood, bro.[QUOTE="Metamania"] Rufus I can understand, but Balrog? His mixup game is pretty hard to go against, especially in the hands of an expert Balrog player.Metamania
I think, to put it very simply, the unpredictability of Akuma is what puts him on the level with powerhouses like Rufus and Rog. In fact, you could say he's got a particularly strong advantage over Rog in that he's got a normal overhead and mad crossup ability, both of which Rog lacks entirely. This isn't to say Akuma belongs higher up on the list, but I'd imagine these factors could come into play for people who, like Justin, put him pretty high up.
Oh I see now! Thanks for clearing that up with me, SLB. I guess it's coming from my own weakness. Balrog is good at pressure and unfortunately, once I'm cornered, the mixup game begins and it angers me. It's like a good Balrog player has all the answers to every move I do. If Rog has you cornered (which will probably be often, since he's equipped to do it), block low and watch out for tick throws. His 1-frame jab keeps you from trying to outpoke him too much, but if you can start a solid blockstring, you can create some space and hopefully get the hell out of there. If Rog jumps at you while your back is against the wall, it can be hard to AA him since his j.FP is so damn good, but it's not too bad of an idea to try to dash under him since, like I said, he's got no crossup. Also, if he uses any of his EX punches at point blank range, grab him. It shouldn't work, but it does, heh. An EX fireball will do the trick, too, if you can get it out on reaction.
