[QUOTE="white_sox"] You don't need dedicated servers to have a lobby system. Gears of War did it, Rainbow Six Vegas did it, and many other games as well.white_sox

Yeah, but you know how Infinity Bored is...

Let's not forget how awesome Gears 1 multiplayer was compared to Gears 2 multiplayer.:D

Too true, feels like almost every developer is going to the terrible matchmaking system for online.

Yep, sadly. I wonder why though? If players hate these systems, why are they being implemented more and more lately?

No, it's supposed to be Quantic Dream's masterpiece. They said in several interviews that they took the things they did wrong in Indigo Prophecy and refined them for Heavy Rain. They are two separate games. Indigo Prophecy (to me, at least) starts a lot stronger than it ends. I won't spoil the end, but there is just some lame supernatural stuff that just doesn't go with the rest of the story. That's why I am excited for Heavy Rain: no out-of-place or forced supernatural elements; just a killer on the loose.

It's going to be incredible I think.

Did you ever play Indigo Prophecy on PS2, Xbox, or PC?

Captain_SOAP_

nope never played it

You should check it out if you have access to any of those systems. I know you could buy the pc version new for like 10 dollars off of Amazon. It's made Quantic Dream, the same developer behind Heavy Rain.

Steam keeps it updated... believe me though, you're not missing anything if you can't get it to work.

psn8214

Is it that bad? I am downloading the Crysis Maximum edition from Steam right now. It's Crysis, Warhead, and Wars.

Here's all of them (retail and PSN games) and some games have guides on how to get the trophies.

It's because MW2 has matchmaking not dedicated servers.

I also don't know what a virtual machine is, I'm new to this stuff.kingcole225

A virtual machine would be like installing a Windows partition on your hard drive (Bootcamp) or installing a program like Parallels (which sucks all your system's resources) where you run Windows and Mac OS X simultaneously.

I also have a 13-inch Mac Book Pro. Honestly, playing games on a Mac computer just kind of sucks. Those freezes you are talking about are most likely related to OS X not understanding the game files. Before I can really help you, I need to know: what version of Mac are you running?

I would recommend you to start with thief 1 because it's a great introduction to the series. Sure you can go for thief 3 instead but it would be far more enjoyable if you know Garrett's story better. Have fun

nocturial
What he said, plus the fact that all of the prior Thief games are just plain fun.

[QUOTE="millerlight89"] How can you hate the G9, it is the top mouse in the world :).

millerlight89

I liked the G9 and like it. The wheel was a bit rough for me but not a bad mouse.

I am on a Razer kick lately due to Xmas sales. I have to say this keyboard and mouse combo are working out well for me. Hopefully you are all wrong about the quality. You have probably jinxed me...:P

For keyboards, I sometimes miss my old Saitek Eclipse. THAT was an awesome keyboard!

I have had a lot of problems with their products. I have that same keyboard an it has been acting up on me badly.

Is that the Death Adder? Because the Lachesis is waaaaaaay too big; and I don't mind having a wired mouse. I still feel like those wireless mice are a bit on the iffy side, in terms of reliability.
