Ok now that you fixed the title I will answer ;)

It's a tough question.
I really liked Tony Hawk pro Skater 4 but after playing it for a long time it was like hitting a brick wall and I was mysteriously done with it for no reason in particular. Hitman 2 has been a lot of fun too even though I never seem to get around to finishing it. If I had to base it purely on fun I think I would have to go with Dragons Lair in the arcade. I know I know so shoot me.... it was fun damm it. LOL

I'm going to take the moral high ground and say it depends on how you live your life. People make mistakes and learn lessons from them. At this point its up to you to choose if you wish to make that particular person suffer for your mistake as well as their own. I'm sure you did not intend to take the box without the disc into the store and get something for nothing, you just mad a mistake. Their mistake was not checking the box and I'm sure as soon as someone finds out it's empty and who accepted it he or she will be in trouble.

If it were me I would not make a special trip down there to drop it off but I would probably call and tell them I'll bring it when I get around to it. Of course if the guy was a jerk I might not LOL

I understand that the store is kind of ripping you off by giving you penny's on the dollar for your game and no the store will not be hurt. I bet the guy you did business will be though.

Oh yeah that game rocked I still play it from time to time on my Genesis ( the PC version was a disgrace)
I would love to see a new one even for the PS2. New graphics and free roam would rock.

This old news is probably what contributed to the rumor but I see no new updates.

I don't think the number only includes the type of videogames you see on gamespot. They also consider Solitaire, Slingo, online/electronic casino games, ect

H3LLRaiseR

I'm going to have to agree with this comment and the other like it.

41% is not a difficult number to believe when you take into account sites like POGO with their badge albums and dress up minis and what not. I think if you exclude sites like that or if you were to say console only that number would be much lower. Now a days the Wii is helping to balance the scale a bit too I'm sure.

I know what your asking and I don't think so.
I remember a Corvette game for PC a long time ago that was set in San Francisco and races were just from point A to B and how you got there was up to you. If you wanted to take the fwy it was longer and might be busy but the surface streets would defiantly be busy in some spots and you would have to air is out on the hills and so on. As far as a game like that today I don't think one exists. Some open games where you can free roam but when you get to a race it has a set route.

L.A. Rush is not a great game and it has Starforce but it is a decent depiction of the L.A., Long Beach, Gardena, Santa Monica ect. area. It's certainly not perfectly true to life but its pretty good. The game play is kinda sloppy and the races are defiantly point A to B on a set course. Some of the sign challenges give you a bit of choice on your route but still the path is well defined.

The closest thing to what your asking for I can think of is Need For Speed Most Wanted. It's going for 10 to 20 bucks and is part of a set of I think 3 for the 20 buck variety on PC and PS2. If you pick up the set it will have NFS Underground 2 also and that has free roam in-between races but again the races are on a set path. NFS Most Wanted has the police chases and that is just haul ass wherever you can to get away so in essence you pick your own route for those "races"

If anyone knows of a better arcade racer with open city A to B undefined route please speak up because I would like to know too:)

I keep my profile up to date :)

I just finished Star Wars Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast.
I'm playing Rainbow Six Vegas now.

I'm always playing TRON 2.0
Still have Lego Star Wars II installed because I never get around to finishing it. Ditto with Hitman 2. If I ever get that done I'll install Blood Money. I'm getting bored with NFS Underground 2 so I think I'll start Most Wanted this weekend. I have been debating on starting Call of Duty since I have had it forever and never installed it. I have COD2 also so I should probably get on that one LOL.
Maybe I'll put CoD on my laptop.

Lets see.... hummm... Ok lets look at Bethesda's press preview for Fallout 3.

Source: The Washington Post

(The company flew in about 60) "writers in from as far away as Australia and Japan to give them an early look at the company's Fallout 3, scheduled for release late next year.
In addition to an hour-long demo and chats with the game's designers, the trip included a two-night stay in downtown's swank Helix Hotel, dinner at Logan Tavern and a private party at a nightclub in Adams Morgan. Airfare, hotel, food, drinks and shuttle bus were provided, courtesy of Bethesda Softworks. Although a few attendees paid their own way, most did not."

How many bad Previews do you think came out of that little party?

Another quote from the same article.

"With this type of investment to recoup, Hines said, his job is to whet the appetites of gamers, and that process starts with getting the press salivating. To build interest in the upcoming Navy SEAL game Rogue Warrior, for example, the company flew writers to Las Vegas, where they visited a firing range and tried sniper rifles and AK-47s."

See where this is going? It isint like its some big secret, every industry does it.

Now if a company were to just Fed-EX's a pre release copy of a game to everyone and say "have at it" you might get a little more honest preview but their never going to do that and even if they did I still wouldent count on the preview being too harsh. After all you don't want to bite the hand that feeds you until the product hit's the hands of the other people that feed you. That would be us consumers. 8) That's when its time to tell the truth or at least try to.

If the gaming industry does not thrive then the video game press/media industry does not thrive.
It's as simple as that.

I broke a few due to over zealous button mashing/joystick bending.
You know how you kinda lean with the turns and no matter what you do you cant help but try to push harder on the button or stick. Never out of frustration not that I don't get ripping pissed sometimes like anyone else.

I do most of my gaming on my laptop lately so smashing the "controller" could end up costing 1800 bucks or at the very least 80 for a new mouse so tend to keep it under control.
