@sladakrobot: On the 360, you hit the center button, then scroll over once to see your achievement total. Hit the A button to bring up achievement list by games and A one last time to look at individual achievements for a game. Hit the B button 2 or 3 times and you're back in the game.

On the XB1, you hit the center button, which brings you to the main screen. The achievement total is usually listed in the upper left corner which is nice...when you're not waiting for message banner to change (screen name and I think there's something else) listed in the same place. Then you've got to move left to bring up a sub-menu. You scroll down like 7 things (I think) to get to the achievements (some of them are notifications, friends, settings, etc). Once the achievement icon is highlighted you've got to move back to the right to select snap (with the A button I think). Then you are looking at the achievements snapped to the right side of the screen (instead of centered with 360). Sometimes I seem to be able to use the B to unsnap the achievements quickly and sometimes I have to crawl back through the menus and select unsnap.

I hate having the achievements snapped to the side of the screen and I just can't play a game with them permanently there. I like the way they are displayed on the 360. It would be nice if I could just say double-tap the center button and bring up the achievements (unsnapped) in the center of the screen.

I still prefer the Xbox 360 user interface. It would be nice to have the option to set up the user interface to mirror it on the XB1. Windows (well 7 and earlier anyways) has had the option for a classic layouts, why can't the XB1? Also, viewing achievements is a pain on the XB1 and was so much easier to access on the 360. I don't want to snap them to my game, I don't want to scroll through 7 other options to reach them and I don't want them snapped to my game while I'm playing it.

@xolivierx: Name me one movie based on a video game that was ever bad? (NOTE: I am unable to keep a straight face whilst writing this comment).

I found 24 unwatchable. In one season, I just couldn't suspend my disbelief that a nuclear power plant highjacked by terrorists over the internet wasn't just disconnected from the internet. I tried giving the show another chance, but Jack Bauer holding his breath in poisonous gases for like 5 minutes was just too stupid.

@yasso: So you're a cancer truther? Cancer is a real disease. It's pretty shocking how fast one can deteriorate once it takes hold. There are many types of cancer that are treatable with modern medicine. There are many types of cancer that aren't treatable, and in that context I can see your assessment of "serious business" as cancer is a cash cow for many medical institutions. Most people are willing to pay whatever it takes to stay alive.

If you are diagnosed cancer, you have to pay attention to when/if the doctor says "new" or "trial" in reference to your treatment regimen. You have to ask yourself, do you want to be a human guinea pig? Many clinical trials aren't trying to save you, they are testing dosages for future patients. Your sacrifice (and it's likely to be very painful) may eventually help someone else, but not likely you. Bone Marrow transplants are a favorite way for many doctors to make boatloads of money. You are expected to die, so lawsuits are typically unsuccessful. These bone marrow transplants are often very expensive, very painful and at least from what I heard in the 00's not very successful, like 99.999% so. I personally would choose hospice/pain drugs than ever contemplate a bone marrow transplant. I'm not living forever and I'd rather live my final months/days in comfort.

That said, the Japanese have lowest incidence of cancer of any group on the planet. The Japanese diet is high in sea foods and kelp. These sea foods have high amounts of Iodine. The Japanese tend to have very high levels of Iodine in their bodies, way more than any daily recommendation in the US. Tests have shown Iodine helps kill off cells when it's their time to die, thus helping to prevent an uncontrolled (benign or cancerous) growths. American diets are very low in Iodine especially since many companies save a buck and Bromanate their breads. Bromine, while related to Iodine on the periodic table, actually negates any beneficial effects Iodine has on the body. Japanese people still get cancer, however the Iodine link is definitely worth investigating if you're concerned about preventing cancer.

@thescrubhunter: First, I have no nerd rage over Jar-Jar Binks. Sure he's a tad annoying, but it really doesn't impact my thoughts on the film too much. Otherwise, I feel like the Phantom Menace is just a better story and it's more original than 7.

There's alot of little things that really bother me about the Force Awakens, especially the feeling that it just rips off A New Hope. The main thing that really kills it for me would probably seem minor to most other people. Jumping out lightspeed in the atmosphere of the Starkiller Base was just beyond believable. Hyperspace jumps were a minor point in the Empire Strikes Back movie, but it was expanded alot more in the radio teleplay. The Empire nearly had a catastrophic incident when they came out of hyperspace too close to Hoth. When you think of how far light travels in a millisecond, it's impossible for any kind of modern day computer to make a transition from lightspeed to sublight speed (and then not have momentum collision) with a large planet sized body of mass inside an atmosphere (and further below a shield).

My order of preference for Star Wars films is 5, 4, 3, 6, 1, 7, 2. Now can that help me win the Powerball?

@elbauto: Nobody can play Harrison Ford. Therefore the movie will be stupid. I definitely won't be going to see this travesty.

@davem1992: I'm still waiting for my free copies (particularly for GoW 2). There are tons of people who have yet to receive their free copies of the games as promised.
