No I don't rent. I don't buy games at release. I wait until after the price drops to $20 or less (preferably in a complete package with all DLC). I find it too expensive to have the latest and greatest.
One more comment on my original article that I forgot to mention was the Kinect 2. That's the worst feature on the whole system. I don't want MS spying on me, regardless of how much I may save on a cable bill or video game. There's absolutely, positively no way I purchase an Xbox1 unless the Kinect 2 is removed.
Too many video articles on this subject here at Gamespot, so I don't know everything about the new Xbox reveal yet. I've owned an Xbox the past two generations and there's nothing here that's convinced me to stay with the Xbox and the PS4 is more appealling to me for games, but I'm still not sure if the PS4 worth buying. The new Xbox is one ugly looking console. Why didn't they stick with either the shiny or matte black surfaces? The name is stupid...it's almost like they took a cue off of Nintendo and made something confusing for the consumer. Seriously, how many parents who know squat about video game systems are going to think the Xbox1 is newer than the Xbox360? Is it like a retro Atari?
I don't buy used games for the most part (unless I missed something that is no longer marketed). I don't care for the MS "greed tax." It's a real big detratction for the system. Actually the only thing that is interesting to me is the cable feature. I'd like to have an alternative to the cable company's outrageous charges. Surely someone else is developing a similiar internet cable box as I don't need an all-in-one device.
I'm creating an exclusive game for the Xbox, it's called #DEALWITHIT. You star as Adam Orth and you have to convert as many devices as possible to "always on-line" before a mob of angry gamers catches and pummels you.
In terms of stealing, eating fruits and vegetables or drinking milk per see is stealing from the plants/animals of this world. These items were created to enhance their reproduction, not yours. Since you brought up "thou shall not kill" in your jusification against piracy, I have to point out that if a human does not kill a human will die. Even a vegan murders some poor little plant for his/her sustaince. The Old Testament also recounts numerous ways in which to make animal sacrifices to God. so while you are at it, explain to me how that relates to game piracy as well.
Nope, I'm hunkered down with some 30+ games from the current generation still on my shelf I haven't had a chance to play. I'm prepared to wait out the DRM of the next generation.
The complainers obviously don't understand simple math concepts. They are also probably bad with their real life finances seeing how they get all hung up about about losing a few unspent pennies when they can save dollars with the points system.
