I wish I could like this game, but ever since the developer threw a public hype-party for it at PAX and left the majority of the crowd out in the cold and rain for hours into the night (in a very sketchy part of Seattle), while hurriedly sweeping in "VIPs", I just can't get over this... disgusted feeling. I ended up renting this and played for about an hour before quitting. If that's how the developer treats their customers, then they don't deserve those same people buying their game.

1. Bethesda had to give release copies because many reviews were published the day of release.

2. PAX was barely over a month ago. If you knew anything about game development at all, you would know that that demo WAS the finished product.

3. I played Bloodborne at PAX too. It certainly felt more realized and well-executed than tEW.

Maybe you should research topics before you start slinging bs.

You know, after playing this game at PAX (and enduring the corrupt fiasco that was the after-party), 7 out of 10 is generous.

Weird that Gamespot didn't receive a review copy. What's up with that?

Women are far from "harder to animate then men". The skeleton only requires a slight bit of tweaking for the majority of action animations. Look at Mass Effect.

I wish Ubisoft would make a *good* female protagonist assassin, but ultimately, for this game, whatever.

The huge problem with this situation is the massive amount of bull coming from the studio. You didn't want to put female assassins in because of money? Fine, say THAT. Saying that women are harder to animate is complete absurdity and they're spreading this lie around to people who don't know any better. Just man up and admit you wanted to push out the game at a certain time and didn't devote enough resources to it.

Contrary to what the Unity team has fed you in regards to "women are harder to animate", they're actually not.

The Watch_Dogs and AC3 teams have both called the Unity team out on this BS. No, really, look it up.

Also: Aveline. Brotherhood Assassins. Anne Bonney and Mary Read. Ubisoft has made it perfectly clear that they're not shy about reusing animations. There's no excuse for this. Lazy.

@whatsazerg @caucel_cr Right, because look at everything Ubisoft has done with EVERY SINGLE HISTORICALLY-BASED CHARACTER. It's all ENTIRELY truthful, ain't it?

You're willing to suspend your disbelief for utterly everything this series is about, but an empowered woman is just too much?

Shut up. Go sit in the corner.

Oh jees, this site is a complete mess now. There is NO order to the main page whatsoever. GameSpot, you done messed up good.

So where's everyone off to? I just want a gaming site that clear and concise that I can load up whenever I get a quick break and check to see what's going on in the gaming-verse.

@chibi-acer It's a bit of ME3 art called "Reaper Attack". The artist is eluding me at the moment, though.
