"Halo Reach has a bad plot, bad gameplay, bad multiplayer, bad campaign, bad everything, 9.5/10 NEAR PERFECT." "God of War 3 is simple-minded gameplay, no challenge, 100% QTEs, 9/10 SUPER CLOSE TO PERFECT." "Resident Evil 6, better gameplay than most games, some QTEs (not many, definitely not every 5 minutes, not even more than Resident Evil 4 had), plot is bad but gameplay is good, 4.5/10 unplayable garbage."
The reviewer is obviously into plot more than good gameplay. He probably played the game on Easy, not even Normal. The point of the tutorial of the game is to introduce you to the kinds of QTEs you'll be doing during gameplay to break out of enemy grabs, the rest of the game after the tutorial is nothing like that. Seriously, aren't reviews supposed to be unbiased and objective by people with a lot of experience with games in the genre of the game being reviewed?
"The game has a bad story and sometimes it has QTEs, thus it is terrible and not worth playing." Um, boohoo? It still has great gameplay. There are not even that many QTEs and they are far from being hard. The plot makes no sense, but good gameplay comes before good storyline. If you want a good story, play an adventure game! A game doesn't have to have a good story if it has good gameplay instead.
