@ughz: The reports I'm hearing from people who got into this wave of alpha are pretty much saying that it's Haloom. Two weapons, sluggish movement, a lot of extraneous features. Disappointing. Not as disappointing as their alpha sign up system but still.
@Molokai16: Most people who got the message haven't actually gotten in, they screwed something up. Sony is blaming iD, iD is telling everyone to use the alpha sign up form, then they closed the alpha sign up form and went silent on all social media. Good times.
@pointsofxp: That means they screwed up and you don't get in. Nearly everyone who had a Wolfenstein beta code got that treatment. Also, the beta is no longer in our libraries.
@blackace: I don't care if they do it. That wasn't the main point. The point is that if playing 360 games is so important why not have a 360?
I don't care if PS4 has backwards compatibility because I still have a PS3, PS2 and PS1. I don't care if Xbox One has backwards compatibility because I still have an Xbox 360 and Xbox.
Not everything is about brand loyalty. This is about customer stupidity.
There's an endless flood of people calling gamers entitled over things like on disc DLC, gouging microtransactions and expecting patches to fix broken releases, places where the gamers ARE often entitled to a decent product, but somehow it's supposed to be a dig on them as people. This Backwards Compatibility mess IS a case of many people being undeservedly entitled. The hardware already exists to solve their problem but THEY don't want to mess with it. They want an all in one box.
If they get that it's fine but have some freaking perspective over it. If you want to play Xbox 360 games get an Xbox 360 and play them all. If you want to play Xbox One games get an Xbox One and play them all. It applies to literally everything in gaming.
@7tizz: I'm Anti-Pointless-Whining and Pro-Solving-Your-Own-Problems.
If you need so badly to play an Xbox 360 game that you'll endlessly complain on the internet for years about it but won't go find a cheap as dirt 360 to actually play the game on, maybe you don't really want to play the game and just want to complain on the internet?
@7tizz: I don't care what the companies are doing. People are being stupid. They're not being savvy consumers.
They could hit up ebay and have a 360 and all the games they actually want to play already, but instead they're complaining about how the list of a tiny percentage of the BC library doesn't include the stuff they want to play.
Why can't they solve their own problem? Why does daddy corporation have to fix it for them? I have no sympathy for their own stupidity nor any of this corporate shilling nonsense about holiday sales.
