I'm not getting my hopes up for a Fable 4 for PC unfortunately.
They've done it already with Fable 2 keeping that a 360 exclusive and knowing MS's reputation they probably want it a One exclusive to boast the new console and boost sales. I hope I'm wrong, but if that is their business strategy then they just lost a customer.
The current form of XBL isn't all that demanding of a service though for the existing servers.
If more of the computing power is down on the server side like how onlive works, then MS needs a lot of servers to provide enough for peak times of day.
The more dependencies on servers, the more room for error. Just look at Diablo 3 and Sim City for examples. Microsoft have saide they have created almost 300k, but you never know the demand until afterwords.
It seems logical that whoever buys the rights and IP to the RCT franchise would make a game does it not, otherwise why bid millions to own the IP?
Just because its been 7 years since the last doesn't mean a new developer and publisher wouldn't make a new one...especially when its up for auction to the highest bidder.
@rifleman90210 Some people are skeptical about the whole idea of the kinect always monitoring for voice (and possibly watching you too) as well as the uncertainties that Microsoft didn't elaborate very well on (used game 'fee', not always connected, but connects every 24 hours)
Those to me raise more concerns and questions on the system, that again IF hold true and the xbox and ps4 are similiar in performance...then its a better bargain for free online, and less intrusive for the PS4.
Nope, you can get a Seiki 4k display for $1500. It may not be a common brand name, but when companies aggressively reduce the prices it will force the big brand name companies to push further to delivering cheaper models too.
A lot of companies have tried to push the expensive 3D TV's and failed, so I'm predicting 4k screens are going to continue to become more affordable (and at a faster pace than what 1080p did)
Sony's computer electronics department is essentially bleeding away time, resources and money on a division thats not very profitable for them.
As it stands now, the gaming division of Sony is whats getting the majority of their revenue that goes back into supporting not as successful business departments (like Sony laptops). Its the truth, its nothing against the quality or a Sony Vaio laptop. But when you sell at such a premium when you don't have much of any differentiating specs to cheaper priced alternatives from HP/DELL you will lower sales and in turn lower revenue.
Sony needs to do some restructuring of their entire business structure to ensure long-term stability of the company. You can't rely on one strong part of your company to help the others.
Splitting the company may not be the answer, but they need to consolidate their business in some way so that can be profitable in all departments, and the quickest and easiest way to do this is trim the fat and become leaner.
@Digifox006 @YoungCardinal Um...Honest question: How long have you played the Sims franchise? Played Sim Vacation, Sim Hot Date, Unleashed? Sims 2 had similar expansions Bon Voyage, Nightlife, Pets, etc.
Now follow that with Sims 3 Late Night,World Adventures, Pets...these expansions all are duplicates of the original Sims 1 expansions...
Sims 3 also added the following expansions that were identical to the Sims 2 expansions: Seasons, Showtime, University Life On top of countless "stuff" packs.
I'm perfectly fine with not buying any DLC as I am a smart consumer and will not suport the idea of rehashing the same stuff at premium prices.
Play Sims 1 and Sims 2, and from a logistical standpoint, how much sense does it make for me to rebuy the same game and expansions over and over again....you have fallen into the viscous cycle that EA has trapped you in if you think this is a fair deal to any consumer willing to waste $400+ on the complete Sims 3 experience...
