If you're going to play at 12 x 10, you'll never need more than 320 MB.

And Iagree on the CRT vs LCD issue. LCD'slook nice, are generally brighterandand take up much less desk space. But I think the CRT's still have better resolution. I haven't seen an LCD yet that displays text as good as a CRT. The CRT's are much sharper.

Don't buy a cheap mouse. You'll have problems with it.

A name brand mouse for about $50 is as good as you're going to get, performance wise. Anything above that and you're paying for gimmicks.

[QUOTE="Yura_Narsole"]Dude, CPU's are ALWAYS dropping in price.RayvinAzn

At least until they cease manufacturing them, in which case they can sometimes jump up in price.

Hmm...I hadn't thought of that. Well then, ifsomeone were smart,they would buy a whole bunch of CPU's, wait for them to phase out in about a year, then resell them for a profit. You could make a fortune!

Absolute genius!

I bought a Radeon VE once at the advice of a salesman. I think it was later named Radeon 7000. What a waste. Even for a budget card at that time it was pretty useless at everything.

I upgraded to a 9500 Pro, which kicked ass.

I've owned several ATI cards and never had problems with any of them.

Why are you buying slow RAM? Wouldn't it be better to go with something faster, like PC 6400, for just slightly more money?

Why would you spend the extra money? There won't be any noticeable performance gain.
