Okay, Those of you who have seen my game collection pics know I own every pc game there is. So I really want to buy dead space to fill in one of the very few remaining gaps. However I keep thinking that I draw the line at stategic dismemberment.
Now I love when blood splashes on me in L4D and I don't mind some gore. Is dead space as gorey as it sounds? Am I just that lame or does the idea of stategically dismembering things seem to cross the line?
Have you ever been able to play it? I would look of the cod4 forumns or submit a help ticket. Also what does it have to do with an nforce motherboard? these are extremely common and I have never had a problem with mine. what chipset do you have? At any rate, there isn't any place you can legally download the game with just your cd key. You would have to buy a new one or do something illegal so tech support is your best option
I had a card that did this once. You might try opening up the case to get more cooling first but its probably a bad graphic card and you'll need a new one.
I guess I'll play devils advocate a little. I think that COH/COV is a much more interesting game than LOTR. LOTR is much bigger and has a better variety of missions but its like every other mmo out there in many ways. I always thought COH had the best team play of any mmo. You actually work with people instead of just existing with them. Thats the whole point of an mmo to begin with isnt it.
http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.HTML here is where to get the latest driver. It is 8.12. there is no 8.5 unless its a beta. You might try playing the game in compatibility mode. Right click on the executable file and select the compatibility tab. Then in the drop down menu pick windows xp, or me, or 98. You will just have to try each and see.
That sucks and is sort of weird. Because you have played the whole game without problems I would tend to think it is a corrupted file. I would try backing up your save and then reinstalling. Also have you patched up to the latest version?
first did you patch the game to the latest version? Have you tried running it in compatibility mode for windows 98? Also what specific graphic card does it have and is that patched to the latest driver set?
