If you reinstall your OS or install a different OS on your computer, do you just lose an activation for games like Dead Space, which have a limited number of activations?chessmaster1989
yes if you have to reinstall it which of course you would then you lose an activation. However its relatively straight forward to get more activations. All you do is email the company and tell them why you had to reinstall it. They know that people have stuff happen and they just want to make sure that someone doesn't iso the disk and have 1000 activations off one dvd.

For the people who don't know, Peter Molyneux is the person behind Black and White, The Movies, and Fable. He likes innovation which is probably why he isn't thrilled with 2009. And while I think he is brilliant and a visionary on one level, Its hard to deny that he has never really understood the commercial side of gaming. I I also found it interesting that lionhead is now owned by microsoft and two of the games he said he was looking forward to were Halo games. Halo is a pretty mediocre series for a guy like Molyneux to be interested in so I wonder if he is under some corporate pressure.

Well you don't have to buy your games on steam. Thry have a right to charge whatever they want and companies frequently charge more in the EU although 50% more does seem extreme. Probably part of the issue is competition. Steams value is partly its convenience but in the US most people live 5 minutes from a walmart or bestbuy and can get the game and be playing hours before a steam download is finished.

[QUOTE="Hellboard"]3 so its like kotor and not like fallout or oblivion and gothic? 5 you mean you never get a party or another character like kotor, but you play the game by yourself apart from specific quests, does balduer 2 offer any party conversation or you just control all of them? 7 as many as dungeon siege or oblivion then? 10 not really pointless some people prefer quantity than quality eg jade empire had only 2 towns, so what am asking is are there more than 3 or 4 towns with side quests and npc interactions to do there? or just e-4 buildings with shops and one with a sidequest and all this is called "a town"

3. I would say kotor is fairly close as far as linearity. Its certainly not an open world like oblivion but you are guided along a main quest with options to do side quests in the order you choose. 5. you do party with other characters but I don't think the story lines were as deep as kotor for party members, I don't have a real good memory on this though. 7. yes. Lots of weapons and armor to choose from 10. don't remember. The towns in The Witcher were quite large and I get the games mixed up because they were built on the same platform. I do know at least some of the towns were quite large.

To be fair cod waw is really an online fps with a small single player components. It has potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay if you're into that sort of play. 60 hours is asking a lot. your only choices are rpg's (fallout3, oblivion, morrowwind, deus ex, mount and blade, or any number of diablo clones) or some type of perpetual game like strategy or online fps.

I have found that when I am playing a game I don't notice the difference between medium, high, and very high settings. If you stop to pick everything apart and compare then sure there is a difference but to be honest having slightly better textures or particle effects doesn't make my gaming experience any better. On the other hand, nothing destroys the experience quite like a little lag.
