I don't like scary games personally but I didn't think fear 2 was scary at all. At times you see Alma walk across a hallway in the corner of your eye but it's not like things are leaping out at you from all directions. Fear 2 is really more straight forward FPS then a horror game.
I may get in trouble for saying this but "Home of the Underdogs" has the most complete pc game listing and reviews of any place that I am aware. You can google it to find the webpage but I would only use it as a resource and not to download anything.
This is a well known problem and there is a work around involving reloading some older driver files. I don't have any of the info anymore but you can google the game and it is playable once you load in the new files.
Something here doesn't add up. Fraps is wrong if it said you were getting 1000 fps. Beyond the fact that no monitor could display that (even fast monitors have a 2 ms refresh rate), neither your cpu or your gpu should be able to generate that at your resolution and graphic levels. To give some comparison, Halo ran at 30 fps on Xbox. I think you were always running 30 -60 fps and when you turned on record your cpu took a hit and dropped you down.
they should be saved in the movies directory. I don't have it installed right now so I can't tell you the exact path but they are stored if you want to look around the folders.
oh I forgot to answer the second. MM2 is matchmaking 2. They are supposed to be developing better player matching and probably ruin clan pubstomping :(
SDK is the toolset that valve uses to make their games. It includes a map editor called hammer and some animation tools. Its free and released for games like half-life and TF2 but L4D's toolset isn't released yet.
I played when it came out so my info may not be up to date. On the release, it didn't have much mid or end game content. A lot of people simply ran out of things to do. Also it didn't run well initially although I have heard this has been fixed. Thirdly, it never developed a good reputation for being the best at something. If you like PVP you play Warhammer. If you like Raiding you play WOW. If you like Space you play EVE. My point is that its not that AOC is bad but that there are better alternatives in many cases. Ultimately they released it a little too soon, it got a bad rep, and couldn't build a big enough player base to self-sustain growth long term.
