Ok, I loved the first Ninja Gaiden but I will admit I never bought the sequal. I loved the demo but I just never got around to buying the game. Well of course later they released Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Now I am deciding between these games.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 seems like a better game with more levels and refined controls but then they took away almost all of the blood. The blood is what made the game so bad ass in my opinion. That is what really set this one apart graphically from the first one on the xbox.

Ninja Gaiden was a great game but it always sort of bothered me how a ninja could slice you with his sword and he never cut you. Well in NG2 he cuts your arms off or your body in half or your head off and blood everywhere. So this is a big deal for me.

Next is the price. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 costs $49.99 vs Ninja Gaiden 2 $19.99.

For those who actually have played the full games, which do you recommend?

I was going to get Castlevania but then I decided to try the Enslaved Demo and I loved it. The game plays really nice and what I enjoyed about it the most is the story and atmosphere. I really love a game with a great story and also one with atmosphere that makes me really believe i'm in that world. The thing is, Castlevania also looks to have a very good story and atmosphere so i'm torn.

The thing is that was just a demo. I don't know if the game gets worse from there. I can't go by reviews because it's pretty much accepted that Castlevania is underrated big time.

For those of you who have played the full version of both games, which one do you recommend?

Something more strange and abstract seems to be coming out as we approach the release day xD.

You do not own a 360 and you would never buy Kinect anyway so I don't really know what you're talking about.

The thread normally doesn't turn out so well when the very first sentence is this wrong. The 360 did not, I repeat, did not won June, July, or August.

This is not up for debate, the 360 won June, July, August and soon the results for September will be in. These are the facts, you can't just refute them with a blindfold.

If you have evidence to the contrary then by all means submit it now.

We all know that the 360 won June, July and August consecutively. Not only did it win those months, it WON THEM BIG, destroying the Wii with approximately double the sales.

The crazy part is that these months do not include the bump 360 received from Halo Reach. September will probably be another HUGE month for 360. Who knows how big, maybe 600,000+ US sales alone.

The momentum from September will most definitely carry over to October so I predict a 360 win there again. That would make it 5 months in a row. Then comes November and the Kinect Launch which will give the 360 6 months as the undisputed leader in sales.

With all of that momentum it's pretty logical to assume 360 will carry December with huge numbers to dominate the holiday season.

After dominating the holidays, the 360 will go into next year with a lot of excitement and will probably continue to dominate.

The more I think about it, the more I think the 360 is the new sales king and really looks unstoppable right now. This is not something like they won one or two months then sales went back to normal. NO, the 360 has been winning HUGE, curb stomping the competition for the past few months and there really is no end in sight.

How long do you believe they can maintain the momentum?

The graphics of Castlevania look just as good if not better than GOW. Is it safe to conclude that the 360 can run GOW3?

[QUOTE="JohnF111"] He means Sony originally planned on having no GPU... everything done by the Cell...

JohnF111

I know that. But Sony realized they needed the GPU so they teamed up with Nvidia who gave them a modified 7800 card called the RSX.

However, my point is that Sony could have had their PS3 with the RSX for $400 at launch if they didn't include the Blu-ray drive. Or they could've had 1 GB or RAM and the 8800 GTX for the same $600 and the only thing they lose out on is watching movies.

Blu-Ray is what defined the PS3 along with the Cell ofcourse... And you do realise Sony do more than consoles? They have film studios recording studios and manufacturer TV's and camcorders? all are improved with Blu-Ray.. Just the PS3 was probably nothing more than advertisement for Blu-Ray... I see what you mean about blu-ray costing a huge chunk of it but no way i'd sacrifice one of the best features of my ps3 just for "POWA".

I have a blu-ray player with netflix, youtube, pandora, hulu and a bunch of other stuff and I love it. I don't need a PS3 for watching any movies anyway.

I know that. Actually they were going to design their own graphics synthesizer similar to the one in the PS2 but with 16 pipelines, but Sony realized they needed a much better GPU so they teamed up with Nvidia who gave them a modified 7800 card called the RSX.
