What type of games does your wife enjoy? What games has she already played that she's liked? It's very difficult to determine if "a female" would like a particular game since we are all have different tastes in games.

Is there a single-player campaign storyline difference between Reflex and MW2 on the 360/PS3, or is it exactly the same game other than wiimote functionality?

It's not really anything new for online games, but it's just that they have mics now. It was exactly this bad or worse when Ultima Online first came out, as one example. They just had to type all the racial slurs and profanity instead of speaking it, and usually in all caps (or alternating caps) with horrible spelling. The "old days" may just be nostalgia.

I actually don't bother with reviews of any game for any console, unless they are specifically customer reviews such as on Amazon. I want to hear from the people who have actually played the game rather than some reviewer who may have spent all of 10 minutes on it and/or is overly biased against the style of game or type of console.

You still can't control the dwarves, but the game Orcs & Elves has a whole mountainful of dwarf ghosts. It's a turn-based, first-person dungeon crawl. You have to talk to the dwarf ghosts periodically to proceed through the dungeon levels. The game should only be about $10 since it's pretty old now.

I bought my DSi just a couple of months ago before I heard about the XL version. At first, I did feel a little ticked because I thought it was going to have a number of new features, better graphics, etc. than the DSi. After more news came out though, it just sounds like it's going to just be the same as the DSi except for being bigger and bulkier with larger screens. My interest in the DSi was for its portability and because it was small and compact. I am no longer ticked in any way and have no interest in the XL. I just don't see any advantages in it over the DSi. If I want something big and bulky, I'll just invest in a gaming laptop.

why buy it for ds? buy it for 360 or ps3BdogTheGamer
Because it's an entirely different game with a different storyline and gameplay than the PS3/360 version. I eventually plan on getting both. Also, some people do not have a PS3 or 360.

If we're talking about the DS, I'm one of the (possibly few) people who enjoyed the first one, so I'm really looking forward to playing the second one. I'm waiting for a few months for the price to go down though. It's not the same game as on the PS3 or 360 though. The first DS game was a prequel to the PS3/360 version and the second DS game is related to the AC2 PS3/360 version but not the same story.

I agree with Detroit222. Same as "boyz", not every "gurl" likes the same games or same type of games. Find out what she likes other than Mario Bros. It might be Animal Crossing, but then she might hate that type of game and want a platformer similar to Mario Bros. This is coming from a "gurl" who spent most of Thanksgiving weekend playing Modern Warfare 2 on xbox (it's awesome!) and also happens to like playing Animal Crossing. :)
