@biggamerdude: But they just reported on gaming... They literally just reported on an illegal gambling scene using CSGO to profit from kids with credit cards. Tom Cassell or H3H3 involvement in this story doesn't turn a case of criminal fraud into "Youtube drama".
@jako998: Gamespot and H3 have just reported on an giant underground gambling scheme that generates near 1 billion $ a year in revenue from stupid teenagers who aren't even legally of age to be gambling. How is this not worth caring about? That's as real journalism as it gets.
@boyd62: They aren't "my"propositions boyd, I only re-listed some of the proposed solutions that have been thrown out of congress. Hell, half of the things mentioned in my comment we're found in the executive order your president put through in response the the Sandy Hook shooting.
The goal isn't to change America overnight. Gun violence cannot be "fixed" thanks to lobbying groups like NRA, second amendment pundits and U.S citizens "you'll never take my guns" culture. The goal is to do what is necessary to identify and profile citizens with criminal records and those without the mental poise and constitution needed to own guns. There isn't much that can be done about the guns in circulation, but a significant amount of things can be done to prevent undocumented firearms to enter circulation.
@poe13: No system is perfect, there will always be slips through the cracks. The goal of gun control isn't to all out eliminate gun use, that isn't feasible. The goal of gun restriction in the long term is to reduce the amount of guns in circulation, thus reducing the risk of criminal code gun violence encounters.
Legislation would probably include making licensing for gun owners a lot stricter, far better psychiatric evaluation to profile potential offenders. Bans on "massacre" capable assault riffles and tighter border control to ensure gun contraband is to an all time minimum. Tighter limitations on possession of concealed hand guns and requirements for gun owners with licenses to own government approved safes where their guns must be kept and secured when not in use.
A lot of states do have some of these measures in place to some extent, but they are still too loose for the goals to be met. Plus Lobbyist groups like the NRA and civilians feel they are being "punished" by not being able to keep their assault riffles.
@poe13: You do realize... Gun violence doesn't happen nearly as frequently if not ever in in any first world country except the U.S right? The idea of gun control is EXACTLY for the reason of making sure guns cannot be easily obtained both legally and illegally. If other countries can maintain this exact standard, why can't U.S?
@samurninsai: I think it also really comes down to the polarizing effect of internet anonymity. It's so easy to slip into toxic patterns because of how good it feels to dig into another anonymous crap player infringing on your game time.
It damn well should be an MMO and it should be proud of it. It's the only genre of MMO that hasn't been overly saturated and cloned. I have yet to see a pirate MMO that fully embraces the potential of open world adventure.
I want a pirate game that has a rich world with thousands of islands. Under sea dungeons to raid with no shortage of big sea beasts protecting incredible treasures. A system that treat's ships like guild systems, the guild leader or "captain" would pick officers to help him find swashbuckling crew men to do shipboard tasks and keep their ship sailing. Pirate battles that allow ships to engage each other and ends with epic chaos and pillaging sword combat like that of Assassin's Creed Black flag. Give me this, I give you my money.
@troll_elite: Ironically, they've stayed relatively cool with the online community going to town with the IP. From smash flash to smash crusade, and complete re-mods of brawl like project m, brawl + and smash turbo. Sakurai has said in interviews that he's fully aware that the community have been toying around with their own smash bros designs.
That being said, I think that galaxy in turmoil should not be advertising itself as much as it is. Getting too much attention will make Disney protect it's IP by contractual obligation.
@Xristophoros: Gotta say man, as someone who plays on these experiences, you really do notice 4k 60frame resolution difference and I'm no tech enthusiast. They make these cards because there are a serious number of gamers who do invest in high end towers to play the best looking and feeling versions of their games, That number is growing daily. Why do you think Sony is exploring an upgraded PS4 concept?
