If she's really not interested, or she seems uncertain, don't waste your time trying. Don't even be a special close friend because you'd be doing that with expectations, and that'll just mess you up. Enjoy your life and enjoy a whole world of new connections, instead of getting hung up on one chick. Be confident on what you've accomplished so far in trying this, though, and always be your best, honest self.

Console price competes against PCs, other devices, and against other consoles. The further down the price is kept from the price of a decent PC (doesn't even have to be one that runs games on Ultra settings, just has to be able to play the generation's games), the less people will hesitate to buy the console. And once you have one of the consoles name a price point, the others have to compete with that price as well.

As mentioned, the Legacy of Kain series had a pretty interesting world and unique concept. (Vampires and Time&Space travel concepts) Also as mentioned, the Deus Ex games had a great (pretty well thought out) conspiracy theory future world. If you like examining little details, to read through clippings, journals and such, System Shock 2 had good but simple sci-fi lore in there (I guess the Bioshock games as well, haven't played them).

Your body and all the bacteria living in it (especially the mouth) can probably handle a lot more than you give it credit for. If you find yourself changing full sized toothpaste tubes with every brushing, try asking yourself where the guaranteed harm lies: in the possible illness or in the actual financial and temporal loss. But you can only really say it's too much if it really messes with your life. (Some people spend hours trying to scrub stuff down more than they should and end up not being able to get to work on time, for example).

Definitely have a doctor look into it for you. An Otorhinolaryngologyst (ENT) if possible/affordable. If they scope into your ear and see a small enough hole in your eardrum causing it, those may heal on their own given some time. If they see earwax blocking (they should check both ears), they can soften it up and remove it. If they do tuning fork tests or audiology (with the headphones or something, then they can see if the problem is one of the rarer, harder to fix problems. If it's a permanent problem (sensory hair cells and nerve cells further down the chain), you will eventually adapt. I may be wrong, but I think that most people, in a quiet enough environment, will hear some amount of ringing because of circulation of blood.

Practice practice practice and start slow, but moving, over a straight level plane (grass, gravel or concrete but wear pads for concrete) I had forgotten how to ride a bicycle after not having touched one in over 20 years, and recently had to teach myself all over again. Re-learning is not quite as "easy as riding a bike" but keep practicing, and you'll get it. Fall, shake it off and get up again. Only feel embarrassed if you never try to learn, given the opportunity.

I think that overall they've done a decent job on their reviews. If you skip past the score and read the article they wrote, mentally edit out what sounds like gross exaggerations (negative and positive), you will get good info on the game. Then go over the player reviews to see if they have similar complaints and praise (but not something that looks like they are parroting the reviewer), then you will have a good idea of the main good and bad points of the game. Particularly follow reviewers (gamespot staff and readers) whose game tastes seem close to your own, and mostly their reviews will be close to your own initial impressions of the game.

Inverted. Playing Lucas Arts' X-wing with a mouse did that to me.

we stand up and vote with our wallets and the companies don't get their cash. Companies go under and the industry dies. Without this industry, you have no job. Problem journalists?quickposter
This. Then when they whine about being jobless, they are just being entitled. It is a business and we, the consumers, keep it afloat. Seriously, as consumers, we should really be more discerning about purchases and speak the one language that is universally understood by game developers, publishers and journalists: $$$-ese.

Top of the list is unreliable. But no other system or multiplatform game will ever push the PC exclusive up from the bottom of that list. Ever.
