Yay I'm so happy for ports, who needs new games :| It's not even a good one. You do realize that the 1st and 4th game arent included don't you? This crap is rivaled only by the lazy ico collection or even worse: the godawful silent hill "collection". *shudders* What the hell is wrong with you gamers, supporting this crap.Revisited

When these old games are better than most new games, I'll be paying attention. You don't have to buy it, but good games are worth playing, no matter if they're new or not.

Do you really think the videogame market is the same size now as it was back then?

Do you have proof that it's bigger?

Sales figures don't get broken year after year by a market that isn't growing.

Hmm, sorry, that was the wrong question from me. Indeed, the marketplace has grown, but it's not dramatic enough to constitute saying that the 3DS's sales are on the level of Virtual Boy failure. That's ridiculous. Selling more copies in the first few weeks than a system's lifetime is a considerable advantage.

Graphics aren't just quantifiable like that. I always go for art styIe when judging graphics, and I've seen great use of art styIe across all platforms. FFXIII is still, IMO, the game with the best graphics. It's not the most realistic, but I don't think that's a singular criteria for that.

See what you did there. It makes an interesting point, since there's nothing that suggests that the industry is close to being ruined by the presence of one series.

Hm, I had major issues with Ico. I did like SotC quite a bit though. Awesome boss battles. 8.5 doesn't surprise me, though.

[QUOTE="El_Zo1212o"]Considering the 3DS sold more units by launch day than VB did in it's entire lifespan, your comparison(and by extension you yourself) is fail.topgunmv

Are you kidding? The 3DS's library is already bigger than the VB's. It's sold a few MILLION copies and is brilliantly designed. The price drop in particular will make it sell like hot cakes. Honestly, what's with these negative 3DS threads, it's actually got a similar launch as the original DS. That one had a horrible start-up library.

Neither, I don't differentiate myself by what I play. We're all just gamers. As for favorite way of playing, I'd say home consoles for the library.

1. Mario
2. Metroid
3. Final Fantasy
4. Demon's Souls
5. Metal Gear Solid

Honestly, I don't get hardware FOR the hardware. I get them for the games and judge them thusly. In the same way, there are many games on PC that aren't on consoles. And life goes on.

Bioshock really immersed me, it was an amazing experience. Dead Space is also a great contender, along with Heavy Rain and Flower.

However, Limbo is really on the top of my mind, now. It was unbelievably immersive.
