After playing it, Its good, but not amazing. I'll buy it when it gets on sale. Mages were a dissapointment though.

Ikuto_Tsukiyomi

That pretty much sums up my take on DA 2 "good but nothing amazing". I will probably wait till the ultimate edition comes around and goes on sale for a decent price.

I still have yet to understand one legitimate reason. Your example of PC gamers not having or not wanting to use a controller is based on opinion and lacking merit.JKnaperek

Erm no it isn't poll after poll of PC gamers consistantly show that they use Mouse and Keyboard over a joypad. You could do a poll here and I would bet most would vote they do their gaming on the PC with the mouse and keyboard. The main reason being it is the standard control scheme for the PC just like the joypad is the standard control scheme for the console. I bet if all games on the console were enabled to use mouse and keyboard tomorrow you would still find the majority of users would use a joypad rather than use the mouse and keyboard because the joypad is standard on the console.

I am not trying to get into a debate over which control scheme is superior. I am just stating a fact that the mouse and keyboard is the standard control scheme on the PC and that is what the majority of PC gamers use and it happens to be a pretty crappy control scheme to play beat em ups with.

ROFL didn't even know it was coming never mind whether it is installed yet. At any rate I am not going to leap on something like SP1 till I see what the reception is like. At the moment vanilla W7 is doing fine by me so there is no hurry to install something relatively new and untested.

Beat them ups generally don't do that well on the PC, it is just a genre that hasn't really caught on. One of the reasons being you need a joypad which a lot of PC gamers won't have/don't like using. I am not going to say "no it shouldn't come to the PC" because that is just stupid but I will say "I understand the reasons for it not being on the PC".

As for me it certainly isn't a game I would buy at full price, I don't get enough out of beat em ups to warrant a 60 buck price tag. So even if it was released on the PC I would wait till it was going extremely cheap in a steam sale before I picked it up.

I don't support price gouging on the PC so with Crysis 2 I will be waiting for a pretty hefty price drop before I even consider buying it.

6 hours of content added 20 hours to your playthrough?

JangoWuzHere

I would go as far as arguing the content isn't even 6 hours. At best Kasumi lasts about 20 mins, Overlord is under an hour long and Shadow Broker can easily be done in under an hour.

If anything the Shadow Broker DLC highlights what is chronically wrong with the DLC today. The Shadow Broker is a figure of mystery and has remained hidden and illusive for over 60 years he should have been pretty damn hard to find. Instead what did we get ? oh yeah it was "the Shadow Broker is there, lets get him ..... ok got him now lets have the obligatory snog scene". Just imagine how good the Shadow Broker could have been if it had been a fully fledged expansion with a race across the galaxy following clues to his location.

Ultimately the industry loves DLC because it means maximum revenue for minimal content/risk/cost. In other words things are going to get a whole lot worse with DLC before they get better (if they ever do get better).

Surprised no one has mentioned the dreaded "BFG 9000" in Doom. I won't say what the BFG was meant to stand for in case I get banned, suffice to say it did not stand for Big Fuzzy Gun :P .

In more modern games the M-920 Cain in Mass Effect 2 is pretty OP but then it does fire Nuclear warheads. Probably a good job you can only get at best two shots out of it and the ammo is incredibly rare.

When you buy a copy of the game you only get ONE copy so if you gift it to your friend you will need to buy another copy for yourself. If you want to play with your friend then you need two copies of the game, one for you and one for your friend.

If you already own a copy of Magicka then you can buy another copy and gift it to your friend then you can both play it together.

The cost of making games is going up arto1223

You do realise that is a load of rubbish don't you ? EA themselves stated that development budgets have peaked and they expect them to go DOWN :-

But I think budgets for games have actually peaked and are starting to move in the reverse direction again.David DeMartini

http://ps3.mmgn.com/News/EA-Development-budgets-have-pe

Yet the same company that is proclaiming this is raising prices on the PC platform ONLY, they are not raising prices on the console platform though are they ? This is before you even get into the fact that there is no royalty fee on the PC. There is no excuse for making PC game prices on par with console game prices except for the "hey we can get away with it" excuse.

Now for those of you living in other countries going "boo hoo cry me a river I have to pay 7 million pixie sticks for my games". Take a look at the cost of console games in your country at the moment PC games should be cheaper than the console version, but that will change if US PC gamers accept this price increase.

There is a tangible reason why PC games are cheaper than the console version. The console version incurs greater costs to a publisher in the form of higher disc media (MS charges around $2.50 for each disc), extra certification costs and the console royalty fee.

Cheers for the heads up, signed up and bought. I am usually reluctant to buy games from anywhere but steam (it is personal preference) so this is great that I can buy it from greengaming and simply add the key and download via steam :D
