Might have something to do with the fact that they have cancelled Alan Wake for PC completely ;)

DoomZaW

That was my point, they cancelled Alan Wake on the PC so there is no reason why they wouldn't do the same with Fable 3 for the PC either. Which is why I say don't count on Fable 3 till you actually have it on the hard disc of your PC.

Expect to hear a release date soon back on Aug. 2nd? Yeah, that only can mean the worselx_theo

Well it isn't really in MS's interests to talk about a PC version release date right now, not with Fable 3 about to hit the Xbox this month. I imagine we will hear a release date some time after the hype for the console version has died down. But I will say that until you actually see Fable 3 installed on your hard drive I wouldn't "rely" on it coming to the PC. It certainly isn't beyond the realm of good reasoning to suggest that MS may decide to not release Fable 3 on the PC even though they have announced it (Alan Wake is a good example).

As far as I know the PC version of Fable 3 has been "delayed", it will no longer be coming out on the 26th October at the same time as the xbox version (oh colour me surprised). There is no definite release date for the PC version now :-

Microsoft has confirmed to IGN the PC version of Fable III will not be coming out on October 26, the same date currently set for the Xbox 360 version.

The company would not say how long PC players will have to wait to get their hands on the game, however, though expect to hear something about a release date soon.

"The console and PC versions are now on different schedules as we're focusing on building experiences optimized for each platform," the company said in a statement.MS stooge

Your pc just sucks mate 0,00 sec lag on my system and i got it on pc since day 1 :)ThuBz

I hardly think a Quadcore with 4gbs of RAM and a GTX 260 "sucks" it is more than up to the job of playing today's games. Oh and no I didn't buy boxed I built it just like I have built all my other PC's over the past 15 years. You just have to read the reviews of Force Unleashed to know this game suffered horrendous technical issues.

Dont know where you buy your computer but i spent like 900euro for a damn fine PC with i7CPU Crossfire etc... learn2build a pc for real :)ThuBz

Obviously you aren't that knowledgable about the PC world, if you were you would have seen the statement by Lucasarts that the reason Force Unleashed wasn't going to be on the PC was down to the fact that you need a $4000 PC :-

However the PC being the gaming platform that it is, someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn't be the same game.Cameron Suey

That is the reason adamosmaki said "you need a $5000 pc to play the game" because LUCASARTS SAID IT. In other words adamosmaki was making a lil joke and it obviously went right over your head.

Well have fun with your boycott I guess. I'll have fun with Duke while being pleased that 2k doesn't really want my money...

Baranga

meh I hope you get to have fun with Duke and I hope any in game bugs are fixed and you get access to the inevitable DLC. Just don't be surprised if they release the PC version completely unsupported and let it die, that seems to be the way 2K do business on the PC, if you are happy with that level of service then kudos to you. The thing is I am not happy with paying for that kind of service.

I get the feeling the prevailing view from Lucaaarts is that PC gamers should be ever so ever so grateful that they even bothered to slum it and bring the game to the PC. So it doesn't surprise me there is no demo for the PC and you can't help wonder if this is also down to them trying to hide the fact the game will run just as bad as the first one.

I would love them to put a bit of time and resources into improving the ingame overlay. The overlay is a fantastic idea and it should be exploited to it's fullest. I use the web browser in the overlay quite a lot (using it right now with Mass Effect 2 running) it's such a shame the browser is so basic. It would be great if they beefed th browser up, added some customisation to the overlay and allowed for other useful services such as an irc client.

Nice find, a few days ago I would have been hyped for this. However after 2K treated Bioshock 2 PC gamers like utter crap I don't feel confident purchasing any of their products so Duke is a skip for me (despite the fact I loved Duke 3D). I just get the feeling Duke is not going to get the support and backing it deserves on the PC.

Apparently he wasn't talking about multiplayer being non-compatible across different services. He clarified later he was referring to things like "friends lists" i.e you can't talk to your GFWL friends if you are on steam and vice versa (oddly enough you can't talk to your friends on PSN if you are on XBL either, hm services provided by different companies are kinda like that) :-

indeed, friends lists being cross compatible is a key component.

what i was talking to that press guy in london about was the hope that things would just go towards an open standard (not likely)Steve Gibson

Personally I think he was back tracking, the original quote did not say a single damn thing about "friends lists" and the guys ignorance embarrassed him.

The first post instantly states that your entire team dies.

There is no plot or spoiler indication in the thread title and I obviously didn't read furhter than the original post. My point is valid.

PetJel

That is odd because my entire team survived the final mission . It has always been known that in the final mission you COULD lose pretty much everyone. That isn't a spoiler that is just common sense i.e. do badly in a mission and bad things happen. Not to mention that pretty much early on in the game it is hinted heavily that Shepard is taking on a mission that has suicidal odds and he/she may not return.

I think you are protesting at something that is insignificant, the fact that your team can die if you make bad choices and decisions in the game is not a "spoiler" it is "common sense". Either way it was pretty poor judgement on your part to come into a Mass Effect 2 topic if you have such an aversion to the story being spoiled for you. I would have thought it would be pretty obvious that there would be spoilers in a topic about a game that has been out for nearly a year now.
