@Syrlink @colt_a No they aren't. The Gamecube sold like crap. Its software sold like crap. Look it up.

The Wii sold great, but its software (what you actually make money off of) sold like crap.

The Wii U is on its way to being like the Gamecube where both the system and software sell like crap.

Their profits starting taking a hit with the Gamecube, they started getting close to the break even point with the Wii, and by the time they started developing the Wii U, they were (and still are) in the red. Money in the gaming industry is made off of software, not hardware. That's a fact.

@GSJones1994 @WingChopMasta Do you know how much console R&D costs? The fact they keep making consoles and producing for them is what's killing them. They can become a third party developer for major consoles and keep supporting the 3DS and they would make a LOT of money.

Nintendo has been on the way out since the Gamecube. It sucks because most of us grew up with Nintendo, but they simply haven't kept up with the times.

Nintendo can start posting profit again if they drop console hardware and console R&D entirely and become a third party developer / handheld system company. They could make games for both Xbox and Playstation, or have them get into the world's largest bidding war for Mario exclusivity. Then do it again for Zelda, Metriod, etc. They are simply too prideful to admit any sort of failure though it seems.

@Emfanever Own3d shut down because of their personal mismanagement of funds, they stopped paying their streamers (and thus they left), and twitch had superior service quality overall.

Own3d didn't hand Twitch a monopoly. Twitch murdered Own3d. And now they do not have a monopoly. Azubu TV launched a few months ago and has great quality itself.

@Hammmodi Wrong. The game hasn't even sold that many copies.

I think the show seems pretty good. Kids these days don't understand that special effects really don't mean anything if you have a story and good characters.

The game seems pretty 'meh' so far. MMO Borderlands with less humor and server problems.

@feared4power @commando1992 The amount of servers on the game right now speak otherwise. It seems the game sales are pretty pathetic.
