For whatever its worth, props to Microsoft for listening, or um..buckling to the huge PR disaster. Their policies wouldn't have affected me personally, I have no problem with being always online, etc, but I wasn't going to get a Xbox One just to spite their anti-consumer pigheadedness. But now it seems like they finally came around. Now its just a matter of that $500. Asking for a diskinected version would probably be too much to ask. I'm not sure about day one but now I'm sure I'll buy one eventually.

@SebCrakpot1234 @mediarays @Mickeyminime No. A controller can fit better in your hand, buttons can be easier to reach, more responsive, etc. Its called ergonomics. And obviously one controller can't be perfect for every person, but they can design it to get as close as possible. You're right that whatever you are used to will be more comfortable, but that doesn't mean that some controllers don't have features that are designed better or worse than others.

I own both current gen systems but I definitely prefer the 360 controller despite its crappy d-pad. The triggers are great and I love the thumbstick positioning. The dualshock is decent and has a better d-pad, but I don't like to play shooters on it, and it feels more awkward to use than the 360 controller in comparison. The Xbone controller looks amazing, but its the only thing the system has going for it right now in my opinion. I'm leaning towards PS4 as an initial purchase, and I don't even care for the new controller.

"This is a fantasy based on reality"

Um...ok.

I could never get into FF games before but this game looks pretty cool so I might be tempted to try it out.

I don't think the exclusives are that great on either side. Halo is always a good game but its just not a system seller for me. I always thought Infamous was over-rated. All the games are very pretty, but I'm looking forward to 3rd party multi-platform titles like MGS5, Dragon Age 3 and Destiny. Normally I eventually get all consoles (I'm not rich, I just consider it a 6-7 year gaming investment), but I think I'm going to start out with PS4 just to spite Microsoft's anti-consumer stance, until they change their mind or there is an exclusive that I really can't live without.

I'll admit I'm going to miss David Hayter. After playing the other MGS games for the last 10 years (for me anyway, started with MGS2), I've grown accustomed to him as Snake. But all things considered, I think Keifer Sutherland is an excellent choice.

Wow...you people. The score is 8.0, which is "Great". According to Tom's description the game isn't perfect or flawless, so why should it get a higher score? And if you think it deserves a higher score...so what? For you to argue about the score would mean that you have bought the game and judged it for yourself. So why do you even care? The only justified reason to be upset over a review score would be if the score got a higher score than it deserved, and you factored the review into your purchasing decision (which is the point of reviews), and you felt like you got ripped off. But if you are mad that this game got a lower score than it deserved, then that means you liked the game and you didn't waste your money, and you are getting upset over nothing. Grow up.

By the way, good work Tom. I've been a member of this site for almost 10 years and I have never felt like any reviews of games that I have played have ever been too skewed in one direction or another. I look forward to getting this game sooner or later.
