The Beatles are just happy music, really. I don't listen to them except for fun.  Yellow Submarine was a good example of what I'm talking about (the song, not the album).

As for the whole Goth-Metal thing, the only one I like is Seibenburgen.  The rest of them just kinda stink, and it's a waste of a good vocalist.  Better classicaly-trained female vocalist bands would be Augury and Aghora.

The only thrash band that I actually like is Pantera.   So this list, I guess, would go like this:
Slayer
Megadeth
Anthrax
Metallica

Normally Metallica would be above Anthrax, but I went to an Anthrax show once, and some random 40-year old gave me a beer.  And I liked it more than Metallica.

Only the first Pink Floyd album was made under the influence, and even then it was only Syd Barrett.

Underoath sucks, you're not alone.

I listen to Tool for the drumming more than anything else, a lot of their songs end up getting repetitive.  I should LOVE them, but I only LIKE them.

I don't like Metallica that much, in fact, I'm not a big fan of thrash at all.

I've been trying to get into Mogwai, but I just can't.

I haven't listened extensively to The Cure, but I only like half of the songs on Disintegration.

Based on the rest of my taste, I should like Necrophagist, but I don't.

And I think that wraps up everything I was going to say...

The entire Byrd Family...so, William Byrd II, who once owned the largest plantation in Virginia and also served as its governor for a number of years.

Hmm... I just hope it was worth it.

I hope it won't let me down, like The Condemned did....

You mean you didn't realize that was definitely going to suck from day one?

Dude lol, I got suspended for 7 days sponsoring that film, and it turns out to be horrible.

I hate it, even though I haven't seen it. It is a total rip-off of Battle Royale.  That alone, pissed me off.

And Lord of the Flies, for that matter.

And actually, it is the most expensive movie ever made, if it really cost 300 million...Cleopatra, the previous record holder, cost 270 million in 1999 dollars.

Not entirely sure if you're being sarcastic or not...in his particular case I'd agree with you though.

Bethesda is ten minutes from my house.  But, if I had to move to work in the industry, I'd want a job in the British Columbia, so it'd have to be either Bioware or Silicon Knights.

Yeah, up until recently, pretty much all MMO's ran on custom in-house engines, not including indie titles.

1 hour exactly

Light of Day, Day of Darkness by Green Carnation.

Do I win? I think that's the longest modern song.

Edit: Longest not techno-live- or electronica modern song.

No, Dopesmoker by Sleep is still longer.  And I'm fairly positive there are longer modern songs that just aren't very good.

Because classical music is often divided into movements, wouldn't that disqualify people from citing a whole symphony?  The longest classical piece I have is I think The Tale of The Priest and His Worker Balda...The longest song I've ever heard is the Longplayer, which has been playing since sometime in 2000, I believe.

The longest non-c lassical song I own (or techno, because that really doesn't count), is probably Sleep by Dopesmoker.  63:57, plus another song on the album.

The shortest song I own is one of the songs in Anal ****'s 5,643 Song EP, which is only 11 minutes long...
