@jeremy- @Salt_AU There will always be another way. Before you know it, they will be tracking chips on games that will need to connect to the central hub in order for the game to run. Which will force the consumers hand to download games, then they got you right where they want you. They will soon have logs on your consoles to see every action that has been done on your console, kinda like how phones are, but more extreme than that
@akz_chris It might be similar to what the Wii does, but takes it a step further (meaning it may do updates while it is off). It may not be a requirement to always be online
@SolidSteak8 I talk about Midnight Club LA, Phantom Dust, Castle Crashers, NBA 2k13, WWE 13, Deus Ex, THe Walking Dead (the good version), COD, Gears, Dead Or Alive, Street Fighter ( I could keep going) Oh yeah and Shenmue (because I want to fight Lan Di for God's Sake) Phantasy Star Online somehow somewhat making it way to consoles (ok I'll stop I'm sure i'm blowing your mind)
@valdarez @strothers101 @marioSNAKEeyes and that's not true, most budget pc's and laptops (under 500) I've only seen most at 4 gb DDR3, very few at 6gb DDR3 at that price point. He makes a good point that if the console is under 500, you cannot find anything (pre-build) that will have what the PS4 will have. Of course if you have the top of the line, this doesn't mean anything, but last I checked, top of the line wasn't <500 dollars
LOL @ you thinking people thinking you guys were trying to joke. Maybe South Africa may get some units at launch, not as much as other continents. I'm sure the shipping of units wouldn't be much.
