Hush, little zombie, don't wake the witch...dubel_07's gonna blow off your head.

So...I've been playing Left 4 Dead. It's awesome. I like to be the guy that goes up to the witch and unloads a full clip into the back of her skull and the guy who goes back to help the others. I'm a team player. But I love the personal statistics. As soon as I can get my picture file converter up and running again, I'll start uploading my screenshots for L4D. The big news is that 6,330 zombies now lie peacefully in eternal slumber...missing limbs (by my doing).

Done for the semester.

Nothing big happened to me in the last two weeks other than I finished with finals for the 3rd semester of my college career. I'm home until January 19th and half of New Hampshire still doesn't have power. My sister hasn't been to school since last Sunday. Oh, and Christmas is next week. Happy holidays and merry Christmas. Vote for Left 4 Dead and No More Heroes!

Last two weeks in review (the speedy version).

Sooooo...two weeks ago my Dell XPS died. The motherboard was fried. I called Dell and was on hold for a very short time (approximately 10 minutes) then the technician transferred me to a hardware technician who worked with me for about 30 minutes only to decide that my motherboard was fried. They sent a tech to help me but he called during an important Physical Chemistry test. I called him back and he fixed my computer the next day and got it back to me. I enjoyed my laptop for about 24 hours when the motherboard AND processor died. So I called them back and they fixed it again. The tech, who I had dubbed "Dell Guy", responded so quickly and was very kind--and very normal looking. Then the ice storm here in New England knocked out the internet here on campus, then the power went out, then the power came back on, then it went out again and stayed off for about 8 hours. The internets came back later that night. Then my classes were cancelled and I played Fire Emblem (GC) until 3am, then I played it again today for about 6 hours. I've got to play the new update on TF2 where they nerfed the demoman and ripped the engie. Have a good week. Finals start Tuesday for me. I've got Calculus and Physics on the same day.

Epic WIN!

Mankind's crowning achievement.  Puts the LHC to shame in 2 minutes and 13 seconds.  Watch the whole thing.

(Let me know if the link's broken, FireFox doesn't let me cut and paste)

Heh...TF2 Dedicated server fun

Heh...I made a TF2 dedicated server today (for the first time).  It was a lot of fun trying to screw with people who were playing.  I'm gonna try to host on another PC to see if I can get some screenshots for you all to enjoy!

4 Year Anniversary questions answered, Presidential Election, and stuff.

Soooo...it's been four years...yeah.

I was never very active until this past year. To give you an idea, I started at around level 4 or so and now you can see where I am. I've kind of slipped up a bit and have been stuck at this level for a while now. Some of you I started to track when you were level 1 or 2 and some of you I started to track because I liked the fact that you didn't really like Halo and that made me smile. So, down to business...

First, your questions (plus some more that I've made up)

1. Favorite game genre? That's tough. I'm a self-proclaimed Resident Evil hardcore. I've told the story many many times about how I was so terrified when I played the original game that I had nightmares for 8 years. (I was pretty young at the time; I'm in the age range where you can vote but can't drink [legally]). I actually memorized the game in my nightmares. So as a tribute to the game I hated for so long, it's now my favorite series with few exceptions. My favorite game genre would have to be Survival-Horror (RE, SH, etc.) with FPS' coming in a close second as Half-Life is a big part of my game life.

2. When's the Earth coming to an end? That'd probably be the day that I willingly dance to Carameldannsen without copious amounts of booze or a disguise so nobody would ever recognize me. I'll say that the unofficial end of the world will be the next time I dance, then the official would be sometime after our Sun burns out...that's several hundred billion years away.

3. How many suspensions did I have in my 4 years? Hmm...here I was modded for having a sig that contained several curse words. That was last year about this time...I was modded on GameFAQ's a few times for telling people what I thought about them. I was "suspended" only once and that was on GameFAQ's but never on GS.

4. What is the meaning of life? Dispite popular belief that 42 is the meaning of life, I'm convinced that the meaning of life is to play video games with your significant other, being with loved ones, and white water rafting. Good times.

5. Why can't I stop staring at your avatar? That's a question that's easily answered: because it's WESKER, the embodiment of badass. I never really gave credit to who "supplied" me with my avatar. For some fantastic Resident Evil pictures and a fantastic Resident Evil site, check out rehorror.net---they've got fantastic information and a link to the 4D Executor movie that was released in Japan. Sweet RE movie. Degeneration will be sweet, too, since the original voice actors are back as well as Crispin Freedman who voice Alucard on both Hellsing anime versions.

6. Why don't you like Halo? Eh...this question will get complicated very quickly. What's wierd is I actually like the story. Everyone hates the story and likes the play and its the opposite for me. I just can't stand the attention it gets and how the story is actually told. The plot of a super-human dude going in and kicking butt on an alien world is sweet BUT, take it from Dawn of War or The Legend of Zelda or Half-Life, or Mario, or any other game except for maybe God of War--The best character to play as is the everyday guy/girl. If you go into a game thinking you'll be this unstoppable character, that leaves little to be expected in the story. You'll probably have to fight this unsurmountable amount of enemies and then you'll have to protect some guy while he does something and then you'll have to find the enemy base and blow it to smithereens...that's boring to me. I think that I might like Recon because you don't play as a Spartan, you're just a guy who's in the Recon division of the military. I think that's far more badass than playing as a superhuman killing machine. Plus, and this is the clincher, Halo 2's release dwarfed the release of Half-Life 2 and that's not acceptable. To show Halo 2 what for, Half-Life 2 kicked it's butt in score, play, play time, story, sound, control, graphics, weaponry, and the list just goes on and on and on. The short version...***Halo snuffed out the attention that other, better games should've rightfully gotten.

7. Where are you from? How old are you? Gender? Who did you vote for? Favorite Video game character? Favorite Brawl character? Most anticipated releases by this time next year? James Sunderland or Albert Wesker?

I'm from New Hampshire, US and I'm in the age range of being able to vote but not able to legally drink. I'm, in fact, male. I voted for Mike Rowe & Dave Barskey (the host and director of the Discovery show "Dirty Jobs") because I didn't like either candidate; my vote doesn't count anyway because I lost my absentee ballot. Favorite video game character? If I had to pick one RIGHT NOW it would have to be Albert Wesker because he's...the best. My favorit Brawl character is Ike. My most anticipated releases for the next year are No More Heroes 2, Mad World, Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising 2, and the movie Paul by the creators of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Albert Wesker FTW.

Ok, the Presidential stuff. I hate politics because they're terribly boring. Congrats Obama (I'd have voted for you if I had to pick between the two of you but we live in the US and I can vote for whoever I want). McCain, I'm very astonished at how respectful you were at your loss (? is that what it's called?) speech and I respect you infinitely more for what you said.

Stuff...I'm honored that all of you think that there's something worth tracking about me and I'll try to keep up whatever made you want to in the first place. I'll make one of these next year and I hope to "see" you all (and some new people) in that time. That is all.

Huh. I've been here for almost 4 years...any questions?

I have apparently been here for 4 years starting on the fifth. I figured, everyone else did this before and I'd never been really active until this last year so I'll give it a try. I'm going to ask if there are any questions about me, my likes and dislikes, why I don't like Halo, anything at all. Go ahead; I'll answer them on the fifth.

So...any questions?**EDIT** I found this picture and I like it. Pretty much describes Chris.
