College

Holy CRAP Physical Chemistry is hard. So's my Chemical Engineering course: it's got statistics mixed with hardcore chemistry. My calculus 2 class isn't too bad and my Physics 2 course is insanely difficult.

Back to school

Just want to wish everyone a good (school, if you're in it) year. I'm going back to college for the rest of my degree and will actually be more involved here. Good luck and enjoy.

OH NOes!

My cable just crapped out and I get two channels...Fox News and Lifetime...

In other news, my dad's band played a gig for a graduation party for six different graduates and I subbed on trombone for a good friend who went to college in his own band, Funkpod, and performed in front of a crowd of a few hundred (probably 2 or 3 at most) while we were headlining. It was a lot of fun and they only gave me the music 2 days before. 2 of the charts I had gotten the day before at the rehearsal. I had practiced no more than 2 hours and I felt I played pretty well. It was great. The band also performed with yes with Ed Huckaby and the Chuck Norris. Also bought a Reel Big Fish album, "Why do they rock so hard?"...good album. (I'm not in this picture)

Funkpod and Chuck Norris

TV just came back.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

I've purchased the first act of Joss Whedon's "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day. It's about an aspiring super-villain, Dr. Horrible (Harris), his arch nemesis, Captain Hammer (Fillion), and their mutual fancy, Penny (Day). Dr. Horrible starts out the act answering emails from his ongoing blog, titled the same as the story. Then he breaks out in song. This is the same guy who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and one of my favorites of all time, Firefly. This is a musical. Check it out on iTunes if you can spare the $3.99 for all three acts. All of the actors do their own singing, I believe.

The Dark Night

Oh. My. God.

I have never walked out of a movie speachless before. I'll cut the crap: the movie deserved this morning's 9.6/10 on IMDB.com. The movie was easily the best movie of the year. I've never had such emotions for characters before. Heath Ledger's performance is the stuff of legends. This movie is definitely one to be caught before it's too late. Too much stuff going on, I'll finish this later.

The Green Glass Door

What do you want to bring through my green glass door? I'll let you know if you can take it later in the week. I'm taking:

WOOD

Brief Hiatus from GameSpot

Due to summer work as a lifeguard, I work 5 days a week where I live on the job. I don't take my pc with me because there's little internet anyways. I guess I'm just saying I'll be on, just not much. I shall return later in the summer. Keep in touch.

ps. Bummer about Alone in the Dark sucking

pps. I want RE5

OH MY GaAAAAAHD!

I'm going to be away for the next 8 weeks except for Fridays and some Saturdays. I work as a Lifeguard at a summer camp and do a LOT OF WORK. We have LBD's (Lost Bather Drills) where we sprint to the water and dive repeatedly until we find a pair of prosthetic legs attached to a 40 pound weight. We usually do one per week; today we did 3. One of them required us to sprint a quarter mile in a dead-on sprint. I hope that I never have to run that fast EVER AGAIN. My quarter mile and to the water time was about a minute fully-clothed. My boss ran it and got there in under 40 seconds. I'm tired.

On a positive note, the Pyro achievements for TF2 are most likely out by the time you read this.

Team Fortress 2, Livingston Taylor, and the Doctor's Daughter

About 4 minutes ago, I unlocked the third milestone achievement in Team Fortress 2. That comes with some sweet territory: the Ubersaw. The Ubersaw is essentially a medical saw that's been..."Ubercharged" (that should not be very funny). That means that I've logged 28 hours to date on playing as the class 'Medic'. It's been a long road. For anyone interested, I highly recommend "The Orange Box" to anyone with a Directx 7, 8, 9, 10 graphics card and 14 gigabytes of hard drive space (for all of them).

For those who don't know him. Livingston Taylor is the younger brother of James Taylor, an extremely talented classic soft rock-ish performer who's famous songs include "Copper Line", "Your Smiling Face", and famous for being married to Carly Simon. Livingston, unlike his brother, is not strictly a performer. He is the professor of guitar at the Berkeley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He came to my small town in New Hampshire to a small theater and I saw him perform with my sister, father, and my uncle. He was amazing and extremely funny. My favorite of his songs was "Why wasn't I born gay which was a musical rant on what would have happened if he was born gay It's funny stuff. He's also one of three people who could ever pull off a sweater vest. They are him, my 10th grade biology teacher, and the late, great Mr. Rogers.

Finally, the Doctor's Daughter...wow, she's a hottie. For those of you who know what I'm talking about, you've got to agree with me, right? I was pretty slack-jawed for most of the episode.

That's all for now--good luck on your summer(s).8)

Hope I don't get modded for this.
