[QUOTE="MusashiSensi"] I heard Claymore wasn't that much different as well & I was looking forward to that going to blu ray. Too bad DBZ Kai ends at the Cell Games because as a huge fan & collector I was going to collect the series. I am honestly against the wall on that one.MusashiSensi

Meh. DBZ bored the hell outta me, honestly. I did enjoy DragonBall a lot, though. Then again.. I remember when it was new...

Come on. To have watched in in the 80's & see people (cartoons) getting thrown through rocks & shaking it off with a couple of scratches wasn't cool? I mean the 80's-EARLY 90's had some awesome cartoons (Silver Hawks, Thunder Cats, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Jason & The Wheel Warriors, etc) BUT DBZ kind of took the cake for me as a kid.

Even in the 80s I still enjoyed storytelling and plot much more than action. DBZ had action, sure. But the show was way too repetitive for my tastes.

I definitely intend to play it through at least once. I was just kinda worried about it ... the first few missions are boring me to tears lol.

23Jarek23

Don't worry about it, the first bit is very boring but it does open up the more you progress, you might even be a bit overwhelmed with the amount you can and will do once they get introduced, the map will be a clusterfk.

I enjoy clusterfks.

[QUOTE="Coolyfett"]

what is so great about this game??

WreckEm711

It's one of the most celebrated SNES RPGs and really was years ahead of its time. It had a LOT of alternate endings, something many RPGs today don't even manage

The character development was incredible, too.

I tell you that I am REALLY surprised to see that nobody has invested in anime blu ray. I see one person here with Akira but that's all.

MusashiSensi

It's because a lot of animes don't look that much better on blu-ray. I saw Akira in theater, laserdisc, vhs and dvd. Obviously, blu-ray looks better than all those. But not much better than it did on DVD. It's a LOT harder to make anything animated look better without it looking different in color and pallette. Don't get me wrong, once I find it... I'm buying the **** out of Spice & Wolf on Blu-ray as well as Spirited Away. But still.

I heard Claymore wasn't that much different as well & I was looking forward to that going to blu ray. Too bad DBZ Kai ends at the Cell Games because as a huge fan & collector I was going to collect the series. I am honestly against the wall on that one.

[QUOTE="MusashiSensi"] I am not a "fan" of 3d, but come on, man. In HD shows..EVERYTHING isn't full HD. So, your #2 problem really misses it's points. I mean that's like people saying "I won't invest in HDTV'S because everything isn't in FULL HD when it comes to shows/games. MusashiSensi

There's a BIG difference in something that's in HD and something that's in 3D. Sure, not everything in everything is HD... but most of every movie/show/game actually is. Play an HD game on an HD screen, then play it on an SD. One of the advantages I like, for example, is Dead Rising. on an HD screen, the words aren't effing tiny!

Now, think about a 3D movie... Monsters vs. Aliens, for example. There was ONE part in that entire movie where the 3D actually seemed to be 3D and not just popped up from the screen slightly. There's a BIG difference in that comparison. :\

Not all of those things are FULL HD though.

And somehow this is relevant?

I didn't say I didn't like 3D because it was 90% 3D and 10% NOT. I said I didn't like it because there's a very minimal amount of 3D in most films right now. We're talking 20 maybe 30% of most movies are actually in 3D. Now, you may think it's okay to go to a movie theater and pay an extra four (or 8 if you live around here) bucks for only a sub-par 30% of a movie being in the format you're paying 100% of a price for, but I'm not going to do it.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 counters that statement :P And seeing as the GS score for Wii games has been very close to the metacritic average, its not a conspiracy.

WreckEm711

I'm not saying it's a conspiracy. God, man. lmao. I was just stating a lot of great Wii games garner the 8.5 rating. And I already mentioned earlier about SMG, SMG 2, zelda, etc being exceptions.

lol the conspiracy thing is kinda a joke from last year, when a lot of Wii games were getting 8.5'd :P You'll notice the offtopic lounge is the 8.5 version :P

I was actually wondering about that. XD

[QUOTE="GreekGameManiac"]

*sigh*

He's not ambidexterous,it's just it needs special programming.

Look at all the official art.

He's left-handed.

GreekGameManiac

Holding the sword in his left hand just made him look slimmer for the promo pictures. Myspace pics need to look good for Link, too. The fact he uses his right hand at one point in most of the games shows he is ambidextrous. If you can find his birth certificate or show me Link's fingerprints (the indentation of his left hand will be more clear than his right) to prove he's ONLY left handed somehow, then I'll believe you. Fact of the matter is, a boy who (seems) inexperienced that can just pick up items and learn to use them in seconds shows me he knows how to use both damn hands.

I can't reply to you when you use error or lack of proper programming as your excuse.

There wasn't lack of proper programming. It was done like that as a joke by Miyamoto to swing towards Death Mountain.

It is a great score. But if you read the review, the only thing under "THE BAD" is an underwhelming two-player mode. Roll your eyes all you want, it seems like an unjust scale considering there are arguably worse games with better reviews... that have multiple things under "THE BAD".

WreckEm711

This poster probably has a point though. I don't remember the last time I saw a really good Wii game get a 9 since Call of Duty: Black Ops and that's a multi-plat. 8.5 is a very good score, but it really does seem like a lot of games get that rating and no higher. I think that's the point the topic creator is making. I can't judge the game. Never played it. But I have noticed the "max limit" of 8.5 for a good game.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 counters that statement :P And seeing as the GS score for Wii games has been very close to the metacritic average, its not a conspiracy.

I played AC2 but have not played Brotherhood. Could someone tell me what you guys mean by linear? It is an open world game, after all...

Vari3ty

It's a strictly fashioned linear story line. There's really not much to do at all except for the story missions. But I did only do the first few sessions so far, so maybe it'll change later on. I really wouldn't call it open-world right now, though... from the first bit I've played, at least.
