If your that unhappy with it then sell the system or stop being a fanboy and get a 360. Granted not everyone can just go out and get a new system, but hey this is the way the market is and it's either put up or shut up. Just like people who want MGS 4 on 360, just buy a PS3. I mean yes it could fail, but that is just t how it goes this generation. My PS3 could stop reading discs tomorrow or something. At the end of the day the question remains, how much do you care about games?gamenerd15

Where does everyone get off going on about PS3 reliability problems?

It isn't the 360, whose problems have been major and frequent.

PS3 problems have been minor and few.

The final fight against Liquid is the most epic thing ever.

Story telling in the game is the tightest in a game, this is quite literally a masterpiece. Wonder how any Hideo project in the future could ever top it.

10/10 from me.

Just finished it.

Considering how epic some of the cut-scenes are, the ending is extremely disappointing by comparison.

It's a fitting send off for a legendary soldier though. I do kind of wish that he had died, would have allowed some sort of closure, lets face it, ever since Metal Gear 1 (not solid) Snake has been called out of retirement again and again. I just hope it doesn't happen again.

But, now it's over, I am sad. I'll never play as Snake again. Unless I go for replay value (which I will).

And without a theatre mode I have to go back through the game to watch those awesome cut-scenes and get those bonuses.

Metal Gear- The ORIGINAL was released on the MSX2 console NOT THE NINTENDO

Denji

So I was dreaming I played MetalGear on Nintendo? LOL I think you had better research that one.

The original Metal Gear game did make it to the NES in America. But it suffered from a lot of changes. Big Boss was known as Vernon and Metal Gear didn't even exist.

Um, he said the original. The one on the NES was never an official Metal Gear game, more like a rip off. It was a game with the name Metal Gear. Kojima never even touched those games. Metal Gear with Solid Snake was always his work.

So I mourn for the age of creativity in video games, for that age is truly over and any gamer past the age of 20 would agree with me.

It's almost like Littlebigplanet hasn't even been announced has it?

360 and PS3 being the same? Does 360 have the PSeye?

Ps3 leads the way through it's innovation and 360 follows. Buzz-Scene it. Home - 360 avatars.

Ps3 will be the first of the consoles to have an MMO when Sony's spy MMO eventually comes out.

I still have trouble seeing any reason to buy 360 besides GOW2.

big_boss4life

just like GeOW1, it will probably on PC too, so there is no reason for you

i thought Mass Effect for a reason but PC port is made now

GeOW2 looks exactly like GeOW1, honestly 360 has nothing

Yes it does, the 360 has really good games, the only thing keeping me from buying one is the RROD.

Ahh yes, the RRoD. That awesome 360 selling point.

PS3 hasn't had reliability problems of that magnitude. I'd say that 95% of PS3s sold have passed with flying colours in the reliability stakes.

A quiet reliable machine, shame it's hotter than a summer in hell after a few minutes play.

On a serious note, I looked through the game titles for PS3 and the thing doesn't even have hardly any games at all except Devil May Cry 4, MGS4, and GTA4. As much as I'd love to get the console I am leaning towards Xbox360 instead. Maybe within the coming years despite MGS4 being an exclusive title. Hideo could possibly change his mind, Metal Gear is a multi-platform game in general. Which started out on the Nintendo console when it first was developed. Then later the game came to the PSX console, then the PS2, Gamecube, and even several portable versions of the game like "Acid" and "Twin Snakes" were made. Including a version for XBOX of MGS2 Susbstance, and Metal Gear X.

Castlevania1986

I've already said this on another thread, but I don't see MGS4 being entirely viable on the Xbox.

It'd have to be on like 5 discs.

MGS4 itself is on a Dual layer Blu Ray disc. A blu Ray disc holds 54Gb worth of data, a DvD only holds 9Gb.

Kojima is a storage lover, so he'd need a hell of a lot of discs to produce a 360 version. And a 5-6 disc set for MGS4? Not gonna happen, especially if Kojima wants to include the more detailed textures he's been whinging about not being able to include.

You could also say that both the 360 and PS3 launch line ups were over hyped.

Aside from Motorstorm none of the Ps3 line up really lived up to it's billing

And, people criticise the Ps3 launch line up, but cast your minds back to when the 360 was launched, they also had a terrible line up. Both overhyped and not enough final product.
