@So_subby @Undietaker @Sekhemket @YYankee NRA lies. The criminals with assault rifles are professionals and they aren't into robbing average people. Any country that banned guns has had a subsequent decrease in gun crime. It's simple. Your guns don't protect you:
In the US annually there are:
11,078 gun homicides (NCIPC, 2010);
55,544 gun injuries from assaults treated in emergency rooms (NCIPC, 2011);
337,960 firearm victimizations reported in crime surveys (Bureau of Justice Statistics, 2010, p. 8);
136,371 gun assaults reported to police (Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Table 15);
122,300 gun robberies reported to police (FBI, Table 15);
201 legal self-defense killings by private citizens with a firearm (FBI, Expanded Homicide Data, Table 15).
@Undietaker @RockySquirrel If you think a nation of 300 million people who aren't repressed and controlled by their government is one homogeneous "them" you're a fool.
@RobDev @Kravyn81 @DiamondDM13 He's repeating NRA lies, which they continue to get people to believe even though the evidence is to the contrary in countries where they've cracked down on guns. Ever seen a Korean gangster movie? There are no guns, just baseball bats and lead pipes.
@beast70 @RobDev @zerooo0 @DiamondDM13 It's also a cultural problem. For example people think the response to gun violence is more guns. Blame the NRA for instilling the fear that you'll be killed by a criminal unless you arm yourself, which in truth is about as likely as getting struck by lightning if you yourself are not a criminal. And the lie that if guns are banned criminals will still easily get them. The NRA is far too powerful and it needs an equally powerful organization to counter it.
The good news is their pathetic response to the Sandy Hook shootings is helping along their marginalization and eventual disappearance..
This guy is the slimy version of Derek Smart, which is saying a lot. Dr. Goebbles would be proud of this propaganda piece, megalomaniacal hubris and all. Use part of the "facts" (700,000 players) to support the Big Lie (the game is good) and deflect outcry from The Leader by getting subordinates (mods) to do their dirty work. Too bad for him it's not 1939.
@McStrongfast @Moghat It's more like proof of concept stage. Since when does ANYONE charge people to play a BETA, much less an incomplete project? On top of that they outright lied to people about what was in the game. Only a fool would trust this guy to make this right.
OK, first we hear the lowbrow anti-elitism arguments against this game which amount to the right kind of been there done that is superior to the wrong kind of new and unique (i.e. no shooting people). When called on that, we get made up reasons why choosing this game is the end of the the world as we know it. Sounds like the Republican primaries up in here.
