Since I adore Resident Evil / Metroid style exploration in a well-realised, memorable locations, I'm very interested in this game. I loved Max Payne, enjoyed Alan Wake but wasn't impressed with Quantum Break. This should be much better thanks to the open-ended "figure it out yourself" kind of gameplay, as long as they manage to do it right. Here's hoping.
"Looking further out, DICE will release "time-savers" that players can buy with real money; these come in the form of Tier Catch-Ups and XP Boosts. Tier Catch-Ups give you instant access to Chapter Reward items, which are cosmetic only. XP Boosts do just that."
The original is genuinely one of the best games I've ever played; an unforgettable, atmospheric behemoth like nothing else. I hope this sequel is the real deal and not some multiplayer-only garbage using the name to trick people.
@Egosavar: Oh man those spiders in Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne. I have arachnophobia too, although I kind of enjoy the fear in games, or at least enjoy the feeling of overcoming it, ever since the original Resident Evil I think.
Technology may have improved, but business practices certainly have not. No ownership, no archivism, yet more opportunities to be fucked over by corporations.
Welcome your new overlords if you want, but it's a no from me.
What's this now, a genuinely original game? Sounds great! Not perfect, but great. Obra-Dinn style open investigative gameplay, I'm drawn to that stuff immediately.
