@lion2447: Well they did half ass it, but now it’s more than half price and if you have a computer it’s painfully easy to make backups of your games and put them on this thing.

Not quite a disk drive but it’s still cool!

I bought mine at $40, I’m enjoying it. Considering it’s laughably simple to make backups of your own PS1 games, it was a nice way to take my personal collection, digitize it, and put them all on one little box in my bed room. I’m playing through Star Ocean The Second Story right now and having a pretty good time.

It’s really simple to do pretty much anything you want with this thing (well, except play Ape Escape, lol) so if you’re still complaining about it it must be just on principle. Which, I feel, indicates a certain level of stubbornness.

But hey, you do you!

@jeremyc99999: It's worth it with the most recent methods, like Bleemsync. Being able to load Retroarch is golden.

I got mine when it was 60 dollars and with the advancements in the hacking ability that this thing has, it's so worth it now.

You can really do a lot with it now if you're willing to put in a tiny bit of work. You can even use your DS4 with full analog support if you buy the little 8Bit Do dongle.

@sippio: I agree that it would have been cool to have included a working disc tray, they really could have one upped Nintendo there, but then it would have cost even more.

@shadowwarrior4: Jumping Flash is one of the most important games of early 3D polygon games. Just because you don't know it doesn't mean it's not fun or that it's meaningless. I think it fully deserved its place on here.

Mr. Driller is also an excellent puzzle game, but yeah their inclusion of that one is a bit off.

I kept telling people it was going to be Green Book or Roma. Those were my two favorite movies of last year. When Roma got Foreign Film, I had a feeling it was going to be Green Book. It deserves it. Blackkklansman was equally good. But I just felt like Green Book was the slightly better film overall.

@Vodoo: "I'll simplify it for you..." "You guys are so gullible..." "You continue to think what you want."

Your air of superiority is clear. I guess your opinion is pretty definitive, huh?

Well, the 2013 Tomb Raider was actually a reboot because it created a new continuity. Yes, it was a prequel, but it really did take things back to the beginning and form a fresh take on the origin story.

God of War did not do the exact same thing, in my opinion. It did not create a new continuity, in fact, it's firmly rooted in the existing continuity. It, like Kratos, simply cannot escape his past or his fate. Some people act like there is no connection to the past games but if you do play the game and actually digest all the story and the lore throughout you will find there are many connections to past games. It's not true that you would know nothing of his past life. It comes up numerous times in the game.

I feel secure in considering it a re-imagining, not a reboot. And you're free to think whatever you want. Of course. And I won't even try to make my view seem superior.

@blueoasis: That's correct. God of War isn't a reboot in the strict sense. It's a re-imagining of the core mechanics but it is DEFINITELY (and it's quite clear if you play the game and take in the full story) within the continuity of the previous games and has been identified on multiple occasions as a direct sequel to God of War III.

So if you want to be REALLY picky about it, you could call it a soft reboot, because it's most certainly a direct story continuation but with re-done gameplay.
