ok i just bought a lightscribe drive and some lightscribe cd-r's.  i can write data to the cd-r's no problem, but when i try and use the lightscribe feature it will not work.  it also reads dvds and everything else just fine.  anyone have an idea what the problem is?  it gives me error messages saying i need to enter a lightscribe compatible disc...but they are compatbile!  anyone have a lightscribe drive with similiar problems.  is it a possible media error?  the drive is an LG gsa-h42l.

deffinately socom fireteam bravo 2. i play that a lot and it never gets old...plus everyone on there has a mic and there are plenty of clans to get involved with. best online game for the psp. im waiting for killzone to get the multiplayer update to see what people say about it, but if the multiplayer is as fun as the single player demo i player im sure that will have a great community as well...as long as the mic is an option.

intel is outperforming amdx2 with c2d's.  i reccomend going with intel but waiting about 3 weeks for the price drops to come and the bigger cache sizesup from 2 to4.  i think 22nd is the official price drop date when the e6420 and such are coming out.  the processors have already dropped in price but if you can hold out longer you can invest more on a good case and power supply.

alright, ive built systems before with the base knowledge of matching memory.  this time im stuck because ive never tried to understand memory that much and i dont want to order the wrong part.  i want to order a new motherboard for an older system i have laying around so i can run hl2 on it.  The motherboard im looking at is here.  Im planning on putting an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ in it.  now...onto the question.  i have some (2) sticks of 512 pc2100 memory laying around, the memory standard on the board is ddr400.  can i pop the 2100 sticks in the board with no problems, is ddr400 essentially backwards compatible?  and if i do end up putting these sticks in with the 2500+ will the cpu run at a lower ghz speed because of it?

Okay i have a gaming pc

Nvidia 7800 gtx

2 gigs of ddr3 corsair ram

160 gig hdd

 Amd x2 4400

 S939 SLI mobo

 550 Watt sli ready PSU

I bought it from cyberpower it has a watercooler and that and the Mobo broke. I sent it back they fixed it. But when they sent it back the graphics card was broken the picture is green.  I called them and they dont have the 7800 gtx anymore so they can't replace it. I have a 3 year warranty and im being screwed. I really want to game on pc. It has been sitting broken 3 months. Im very pissed. Im just going to upgrade. I want to get a Nvidia 8800gts.. Is there any thing else i should upgrade. I want to play Stalker, Counter Strike Source like i used to and Half Life Epsisode 1 and 2.

Please Help me out what should i do?

you could spend $900 to build a desktop to run those games just fine...but since you want a laptop it will be a minimum of $2000 and up.
