Yeah I am just very disappointed that even some of the more respected sites had many people believing it. That post wasn't directed to SW.

Why would you be dissapointed :? Just saying, does the thought of Uncharted 3 selling better that Gears 3 bother you or something? Do you feel that Gears 3 is automatically entitled to the sales? I have no idea why in the world that would "dissapoint" somebody that a game sold well on another platform. Besides, its not like NaughtyDog isnt used to their games being big sellers. Look at the Crash Bandicoot games. Those sold 8 mil each and 5 mil for Crash Team Racing, which was a better (and higher rated) game than Mario Kart 64, as well as Crash Bash doing 5 million as well (which was Crash's counterpart for Super Smash Bros 64). Keep in mind that not only did these games all released back to back year after year, they ALSO released the same time as Spyro the Dragon games (which were also annualized and were equally successful sales wise.) and competed with eachother in sales. Keep in mind that all of the crash games sold more than ALL of the Gears games, along with being well acclaimed. Contrary to popular lemming belief, Uncharted is not the first relevant franchise NaughtyDog has made. Quality has literally nothing to do with sales, so stop using that as an argument please.
I'm not saying that it's unthinkable that a game like UC3 could even possibly sell that much. Compared to what some other games are selling, UC3 SHOULD be a 10m seller. You are interpreting me wrong.
If you had the slightest knowledge in video game sales, then you should figure out that it isextremely unlikely that the PR statement is true. That's why I feel disappointed, people who believe in it would instantly get an F in video game sales courses. I don't know how to put it. It's like not knowing what company created Mario.
When people say "woah! nice sales!" that is the equivalent of saying "what??? is Nintendo making the Mario games? I thought it was Valve all along!" At least that's how I feel.
So, oh great and wise one who knows everything about video game sales, enlighten me as to why, exactly, that press statement can't be true? I apparently got an F in my video game sales course... What gave it away to you that it's wrong, that I missed, so I can do better next time?
