Hell, biggest movie of all-time, The Wizard of Oz, is adaptation from a book, as is Gone with the Wind, Planet of the Apes, Snow White and the Seven Swarfs, The Godfather, Jaws, and Jurassic Park, to name a few.

Blue_Shield

Explain "biggest movie of all time", please.

Highest grossing film ever?...Avatar

Most attendance in theaters?....Gone With the Wind

Longest running time?...Modern Times Forever (240 hours)

The Wizard of Oz wasn't even the biggest movie of it's release year (1939). It had $3 million in box office revenue until it was re-released in theatres in 1998 (even then it only had 15 million). Gone With the Wind (1939) had 189 million dollars it's opening year....pretty, pretty good. Also, it was almost 4 hours long, so even THAT beats the run time of Wizard of Oz.

Sorry, I just hate when people say things as fact when they are obviously not facts.

The worst thing in modern Hollywood films is certainly NICHOLAS CAGE. That guy is awful. That poser aside, there is a lot of bad crap that people have already described. I actually like 3D when it is a film shot in 3D (Piranha, Jackass, Avatar, My Bloody Valentine--movie sucked, 3D was cool). Last Airbender, Clash of the Titans and all the other ones that put it in 3D after filming were lame (also those movies sucked knobs).

Let's also point out that Scott Pilgrim was a stupid movie. It may be cool if you are like 16, but a full-grown man like myself will find that movie absolutely annoying and pointless. I seriously think Michael Cera is a retard...literally. I think there is something mentally deficient about him. He can only speak and act one way. Even a damn robot has TWO sounds.

Sequels, Vampires, lame book adaptations, over drawing the comic-book genre, SEQUELS, really bad acting, LENS FLARING (unless you are JJ Abrams, don't do it, and if you are JJ Abrams, stop being so annoying with it), the same buddy comedies...these are a few of my least favorite things.

But seriously, Nicholas Cage, Adrien Brody (was decent in Predators...have you seen Splice though??), John Cusack, Michael Cera....ughhh...so bad. There are more, but I would even put Keanu Reeves ahead of these guys, because at least he knows he sucks so he'll do a cool action movie to compensate. The problem here is that two of those classless, no talent hacks actually WON FOR BEST ACTOR. What a disgrace...seriously. Those guys won't even be nominated again in their lifetime (unless it's for some sort of DOING MORE CRAPPY MOVIES THAN ANYONE ELSE award). :)

That's funny. As I was reading these a few more came to mind, but they were literally all mentioned: Dragonball Evolution, Monsturd, and Rubber...except they are all just really bad. I watched Hobo With A Shotgun the other day, and it was awful. I wanted it to be awful in a good way, but it was just awful. Sad.

Nothing compares to this Indian movie.

Baranga

I remember I saw this about a month ago on YouTube and was laughing hysterically. I haven't seen the movie, but it might get my vote.

Do you mean any console, or one that wasn't very popular?

AvatarMan96

Any console so long as it is no longer manufactured. Sega Saturn?

I do agree, Dreamcast was awesome. It was the most fun I've had with a console for gaming purposes only (unlike all the new ones that are Entertainment Centers).

FIFA 08

I smashed my 360 controller and shattered the game disc.

Far and away, the most infuriating game ever made.

I remember I couldn't even last 10 matches into a season before getting fired.

Many expletives were yelled.

A_Mobile_Doll

Okay, so I wasn't the only one getting fired way early on that game. I used to play as Roma (a previously very under average team), and we were undefeated with one tie after like 8 games. Still got fired. I stopped playing the dynasty mode after that. Stupid.

Yeah, I broke my hand while playing Def Jam's Vendetta...it's a pretty funny story involving me driving myself to the ER at 2 in the morning.

The guys from South Park got death threats over showing the prophet Mohammad's cartoon face (which Comedy Central censored at the last minute). So, if a popular cartoon can't get away with poking a little fun at Islam, there is NO WAY a major video game company is going to deal with the radicals in this area. Remember, terrorists don't die...they multiply. Kinda like that movie "Bebe's Kids."

Obviously, they would have better graphics now, but what old console would you want to see make it back to the market? DreamCast? Turbo Graphx 16? Neo Geo? The 3DO?

I remember as a kid, there were always new consoles coming out. Now there are basically just 3 brands that dominate the market. Each old console had their own little niche that was awesome. Turbo-Grafx 16 had awesome action/adventure games, NEO GEO had an awesome, 6-button arcade-style controller which made fighting games awesome, the DreamCast had that cool little Gameboy-like thing that went inside the controller (awesome for playcalling on football games or to take on the road and play other 2-bit games)...I remember the first time I saw the 3DO, I almost pooped my pants, but it was too expensive and not "gamer friendly" so it never really sold well.

What about you guys?
