Tough times always come with strong attachments (or detachments) to the things we see, hear, feel and experience during those tough times. To go back to something that got you through a hard time, can be very delicate. There are TV shows that I love, but they make my stomach turn and give me emotional anxiety if I try to watch them now. I never play games when I’m going through something. I just can’t get into the headspace and so I find myself working out a lot and living very cut and dry and healthy, in order to offset the negative feelings inside. Life is strange like that, in a million ways.
I know exactly what you mean. Don’t finish it, unless it calls to you some day. It just might.
@Tiwill44: Something happened during development. The original demo looked good and the updates that came after that looked even better. Then some years went by and they released new footage and screenshots and changed it into what you currently see. The color palette isn’t an issue for me, as I use Reshade and can do whatever I want in that regard, but the game itself looks worse.
@nilsdoen: You can’t forget about Call of Duty. They’re adding basketball players as operators now. Not to mention all the other completely out of place operators, the pink, purple, rainbows, unicorns and everything else on the planet that is a complete and utter joke of a customization option for a war game. COD goes above and beyond corny.
The game truly does look like a PS4 game already and can’t even hit 4k on next-Gen consoles. It’s fun and all, but it’s not a looker at all. It’s very poorly optimized even with mediocre graphics, so no wonder they couldn’t get it to work on switch.
Netflix has been releasing things in “Parts” or “Volumes” lately, just to try to bleed subscribers for an extra month or two. I’ll watch this to see Cavill one last time, but after that, goodbye Netflix.
