Right charge fans for all your localizations, horrible idea, way to milk fans.
Japan needs to get with the system and start producing games from day one with multiple subtitles and language packs.
American and European studios have been doing this for ages. All Americans games have an Spanish and French version day one they are designed like this from the ground up.
Japan needs to wake up and realize that they are not the only nation that plays games and keep in house at least one English and one French language team for all game development. Trying to pass the cost off to consumers is an awful idea.
Japan the last major game development nation on Earth to still work on games with only one language. Others have been creating games with multiple language packs for ages.
@jinzo9988: Probably won't be that quick, definitely sooner than you'd expect as 1080p sets get phased out in the next 2 years.
As for controller, I just use a XB1 controller, its the best PC gaming controller in my opinion. Seems pretty redundant to buy a brand new controller and a stream box just to play Steam on TV. The alternative is use WiDi TV or get a long HDMI Cable and use your existing console controller.
@Saidrex: They deliver a game that barely works, and call it a day. As long as you can finish the game, its allowed to go gold. Blame it on the internet generation.
Back in the old days a game wouldn't go gold unless it was tested by half of N. Korea. Cause there was no patches.
Microtranscation in full priced games is unacceptable, it changes the design philosophy of the developers, you begin to see smaller start rosters I.E Street Fighter V, more grind heavy in game prizes, and other minor design tweaks to make the microtranscations desirable. In other words the devs can spin it 101 ways, but at th end of the day microtransaction change game design and are by nature created to make you wanna spend more money on an already fully paid for product.
There is only one way to stop this new downward trend, start boycotting games with micro. Vote with your wallet, they lose enough sales, and they will stop.
All in all, the game industry is in a huge bind, devs are spending way too much money making these games and can no longer recoup on game sales alone, so they have no choice but to resort to micro on full priced games, They need to change the systems, and spend less making AAA games, a AAA should be entirely profitable on game sales alone for the industry to be viable. No AAA retail game should ever need a supplementary revenue stream to be financially viable.
