@dylan35: They are legally not allowed to do that. All games are required by law to be fully functional without any patching unless the game is an online only game like Destiny.
You can't sell a retail console game that does not contain the whole game in working form on disc.
Let me get this straight, basically this is just a PC gamepad and a wireless server that streams your PC video output to your TV.
Why not just connect your PC to your TV and not buy any of this crap.
You're pretty much still playing games off your PC and pretty much Steam games work on any PC controller like PS4, XB1, etc. I don't understand why you need any of this, just connect your PC to your TV and play your game, why buy anymore hardware???
Holy shit does that mean the game is using a Triple Layer 100gb BluRay disc? Dual Layer BluRay can only hold 50gb closer to 47gb in reality. If the game is 60gb in size, its probably the first game ever to be released on a Trilayer BluRay.
I don't get it, everyone who owned a PS3 has already played all the Drake games, so why would this game help sell PS4s???
Most who get PS4 are upgrading from PS3, why would anyone wanna play all the old Drake games again on a new console? The logic behind this game being a system seller is really flawed.
I for one don't plan on picking this up since I played all the Uncharted last gen.
@consolehaven: Yes, kickstarters are very dangerous, for various reasons. I don't really back them, but I can see the appeal for some.
Debt financing is never a good thing as many of these Japanese game designers are starting to find out. You're more or less making a game for the sake of making a game, since your profit and your budget are one in the same, it becomes very difficult if not impossible to keep the studio afloat post release unless you are doing a very low budget Indie like Elliot's Quest or something.
@chronocommander: Yeah that's why Daniel and Mendes walks away with the big cheques. Most people wouldn't mind being in that position at all.
Crew is crew they are the same world wide, same work ethics same schedules regardless of the project. Plus crews are lucky to be working on a big show, considering they spend most of their time waiting in these types of movies.
