@Litchie: Spielberg has made dud after dud after dud. Indiana Jones, Tin Tin, War Horse, Lincoln, Bridge of Spies, the list goes on and on. These are all big budget films too.
Ridley has been off form, but at least he made a small come back with The Martian, which was entertaining to say the least, and The Counselor was a really brutal and good gangster film, but too brutal for mass consumption, but was still a good film.
Spielberg just does not have the ability to make good films anymore.
@no_one: That's why these new guys are pretty unknown to most people outside of soccer.
People get offended when us regular folks have no idea who these people are but its just the way it is, super stars come very rarely. If these four guys were remotely as famous as Ronaldo or Messi in their prime, then EA would not be holding a vote on who is the least unknown. When you have 4 guys that nobody knows, who you gonna pay your sponsorship dollars to?
Boxing is the same. When the top Heavy Weight Boxer is worst than the retired Lennox Lewis who himself was already a step down from the golden era, than of course nobody is gonna give shit.
Look at the middleweight division, the best boxer is Canelo, who lost his pants off against Mayweather a few years ago, so the best guy in boxing right now is light years worse then the best guys last generation. Even Mayweather is not considered the best.
The only thing boxing has going for it right now is Manny Pacquiao, he is the last super star of any sport of late. You can go anywhere in the world and mention him and people who hate boxing will still have heard of him.
I stopped playing FF games since FFXIII. Square has a bad habit of making all Final Fantasy games play automatically nowadays.
FFXIII was the beginning of the one button auto-combat crap. Square thinks that people just want to experience the FF storyline so they are making the games as easy as possible.
@yumyumnomnom: I just wish he would go back to using film instead of digital 3D cameras. Ridley Scott film is half cinematography, it just doesn't feel the same when its shot in digital 3D.
I would have enjoyed Prometheus a lot more if it had the same great cinematography as other Scott films.
@Litchie: The Martian was pretty good, the man can still direct, Spielberg should really quit. I haven't seen a good Spielberg film in god knows how long.
I loved how Ridley Scott kept saying that he would produce it and let another director have the film, but then went on and just stole the film right back. LOL
I feel bad for all those directors that were lead on by Scott and company.
Personally, I prefer Ridley directing Aliens, but its just funny how many suckers fell for Ridley's con.
