@ArcoJawa: One thread is about how we don't want or need new more powerful console upgrades. This thread is about how we want and need a more powerful Nintendo console. They are polar opposite.
Nobody thinks at all that this smells fishy? Man gets out of his on car in his driveway and gets runover and crushed to death by his own car. That's what's considered a normal accidental death nowadays?
@armataan: Xbox One S is the cheapest and most versatile 4K Bluray player in the market with the added bonus of playing games too. That alone is the reason why people would be buy it.
Why would I spend $300 on a Samsung or LG 4K Bluray player when I can get the Xbox One S and still play games when I'm not watching movies.
@joshrmeyer: Neo doesn't even have a release date, while XB One S does, and I highly doubt Sony can afford to sell the Neo at the same price as an XB One S. $300 for a Neo, I don't think so.
At this point the XB One S is the best choice for a 4K Bluray player, since the official 4K Players already cost $300, which makes the XB One S a no brainer.
The reason why you would get an Xbox One S now instead of getting a PS4 or waiting is because you have a 4K TV and you need a 4K BluRay player to play all the new 4K movies but you don't want to spend the $300 on a 4K BluRay Player so instead you get a Xbox One S which operates as a game console but also serves as a 4K BluRay player for free.
If you buy a PS4, it doesn't play 4K Bluray, if you buy an Xbox One original you don't get the 4K Bluray player, if you wait until 2017 for the Scorpio, you essentially still need to buy a 4K BluRay player for your 4K TV until 2017 which costs $300 anyway.
Basically the Xbox One S is just a 4K Bluray player with added gaming function for people with 4K TVs now.
@Bavoke: XBONE S is also for 4K owners, it has a built in 4K Bluray which on its own is worth around $300. Pretty much MS is eating the cost of the 4K Bluray player and giving you one for free.
